Deathlok and Lothar

Looks like we will be seeing Lex Luthor on the big screen again sooner than we thought, with Man of Tomorrow scheduled to hit theaters in just two years.  Supposedly Lex and Superman will have to join forces against a larger threat - it has to be Brainiac, right? I have a suspicion that we may see Lex even before that though - I don't think an appearance on Peacemaker season 2 is out of the question.

Daredevil and Grendel

I feel like these two would go well in a story together. They seem to run in the same circles.  There's definitely a great film noir type story to be told.

Liberty Belle and Union Jack

I always liked reading about these two wartime heroes, even if they never quite hit the A-list. They look great too - Union Jack's has a vary cool outfit and Libby Lawrence wears her jodhpurs well.

Brainiac Vs. Thanos

I think that this would make for an epic match up.  I can see them trying to out maneuver each other with some dramatic results.  Who do you think would win this war?

Thor and The All-Star Squadron

It will be interesting to see what kind of role Thor will play in the next Avengers movies, seeing as he is the last remaining of the founding members (I'm not counting The Hulk, who is just green Mark Ruffalo now).  The real question is, will the God of Thunder survive the experience?

Captain Marvel and Captain Action

Thank goodness that when a giant monster emerges on Earth-STF, there will always be a random pair of heroes to combat it.  Let's hope that these two are up to the task.

The Shadow Vs. Werewolf by Night

Uh-oh - Has Lamont Cranston been bitten?  And what will happen if he becomes a werewolf himself? The exciting answers are just 60 cents away!

Falcon and Wildcat

These two heroes are used to more down to Earth, street level villains, so they might be over their heads when dealing with a cosmic entity like The Stranger.  I wouldn't count them out, though!

Captain Marvel and The Doom Patrol

I was kind of indifferent about The High Evolutionary when he would show up in a comic.  He was another otherworldly villain with an odd design.  Now that I  have watched him as the main antagonist in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, I see him and think, "Ooh, I really hate that guy!"

Mar-Vell first met the Doom Patrol in STF #4505...

Green Lantern and Black Bolt

STF's greatest villain is back for his 9th appearance!  Can our heroes trust him, or are they due for a double-cross?  The answers are just 60 cents away...

Man-Wolf and Adam Strange

The latest rumors making the rounds say that Adam Strange is coming to the DCU, with Will Poulter being considered for the role.  I've long thought that The Character was ripe for live action treatment, so I hope these reports are true.  The Krypton tv series featured Adam Strange as a character, but I'd like to see a version more faithful to the comics.

Werewolf by Night and Black Lightning

This cover required a bit of background extension for it to work.  Here is a peek at the behind the scenes progress:

Katana and Iron Fist in "The Sacred Temple!"

Katana and Iron Fist have fought together before on the blog.  They battled Davos in STF #1997, and first the killers of K'un L'un in STF #3104. This time, they seem to have run afoul of the Foreground Sword Guys!

Green Lantern and Luke Skywalker

These two seem to be cut from the same cloth in many ways. They both loved the thrill of fast paced action even before they came into possession of some of the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. I think they would fight together well.

The Unknown Soldier and The Human Torch in: "The Informant and the Automaton!"

The Unknown Soldier was a great concept for a war comic.  There are so many real life heroes from wartime that the general public will never know of.  For me, this fictional soldier's anonymity seemed to pay tribute to all the sacrifices made by those whose deeds will never get the proper credit that they deserve.

These two heroes first met in STF #3404...

Iron Man, Katma Tui and Flash Gordon

A triple dose of Gil Kane goodness would be more than enough for me to want to pick up this issue! He is definitely my all-time favorite Marvel cover artists for a reason.

Hyperion Vs. Green Lantern

With all of the multiverse-related shenanigans that have been going on, I am a little surprised that we have'nt had any hints about the Squadron Supreme existing in the MCU.  Perhaps they could be brought into Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers; Secret Wars, but those movies already sound jam packed without introducing a whole new team of heroes.  I'd get a kick out of seeing them, though!

Man-Thing and Hawk & Dove

I wonder which of these brothers would get along better with Man-Thing?  Hank shows less outward fear than Don does, but he is also a lot more aggressive.  Their interactions would be fun to watch play out.

Iron Man Vs. Brainiac

I am thankful today for all of the visitors to this blog who have sent feedback, comments and suggestions, and I hope that all are having a wonderful day today.

This is another match up that has been long overdue on this blog.  The intellect of Tony Stark up against the AI evil of Brainiac seems like a natural. Let's hope his run-ins with Ultron have taught the Armored  Avenger a few tricks to use here.

Animal Man Vs. Werewolf By Night

Would Animal Man be able to take on the properties of a werewolf?  If so, what kind of effect would that have on his psyche?  It might be interesting to find out!
