Robocop was the closest thing we had to an Iron Man movie until the real thing came along a couple of decades later, so this seems like a natural combination to me. Watching these two in action side by side would make for a fun summertime flick.

Now this is the type of Super-Team cartoon I would have loved back in the day. The biggest action stars of my youth working together, count me in. Heck, let's consider that to be the shark from Jaws up there and throw him into the mix!
Robocop's partners seemed to have a tough time keeping up with him, and Harry Callahan's partners often didn't even survive the movies they were in. Perhaps the most effective team would have them working alongside one another. I know that if these two were patrolling my neighborhood, I'd make sure to not so much as even jaywalk. I wouldn't want to get on their bad side.
I remember first seeing Robocop on the big screen. In those pre-Batman 1989 days, it was the closest thing to a big superhero movie out there. My friends and I decided to watch it at a drive-in theater. We were quite enjoying it when for some reason, the sound cut out half way through. When we went to the front office to complain, nobody was there! It would be years before I rented a copy and finally saw the end of the movie.
