I got some laughs out of Beavis and Butt-Head whn they first appeared, so I checked out their recent revival out of curiosity. I must admit that I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit, and I think I enjoyed the new episodes more than the original ones. I'm hoping that another season is in the works.
I remember seeing underground comix for the first time and them making quite an impression on me. I was still young enough that the sex and drug humor went right over my head for the most part, but just the fact that it showed a broader diversity of artistic styles and subject matter than what I was used to really opened up my eyes as to what illustrated storytelling could be. I think we could definitely use some subversive heroes like the Freak Brothers these days.
