Daredevil and Grendel

I feel like these two would go well in a story together. They seem to run in the same circles.  There's definitely a great film noir type story to be told.

Nexus and Grendel

Grendel and Nexus were two characters that I didn't read much of when they first appeared, as the titles that they appeared in weren't available where I shopped.  Still, I thought they looked really cool from what I did see of them, and I was a fan of both Steve Rude and Matt Wagner - so I made a point to seek out some of their adventures later on.  Great stuff.

Grendel Vs. Manhunter

I am always happy to use the unique and moody art of Matt Wagner on this blog.  I remember first seeing his artwork on a Demon mini-series in the 80's, and I have been a fan ever since.  Even back when original art prices were more reasonable, I was never able to afford a cover or splash page by him, but I was able to pick up this preliminary sketch that he did for one of my favorite Green Arrow covers:

Grendel and Deadpool

Will Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool survive the Disney/Marvel/Fox merger?  I can understand the desire to reintroduce and recast the previously Fox-controlled characters for the MCU, but Wade Wilson is a special case, I think.  With his realization that he is a fictional character and ability to break the fourth wall, it might be fun to see him continuing on commenting on the changes to come.

Grendel and Aeon Flux

Like Aeon Flux, I think that Grendel would look very cool in cartoon form.  His simple but effective design would lend itself very well to an animated series or feature.  I can imagine it being aimed at older viewers, to keep the tone of his comic stories intact.

Green Arrow and Grendel

It's funny how Green Arrow has almost become the Batman of TV.  When Smallville was on the air, Bruce Wayne was off limits, so the -producers introduced Oliver Queen/Green Arrow to fill in as a millionaire playboy/non-powered costumed vigilante to interact with the Man of Steel-to be.  In the current Arrow series, Queen works out of a subterranean base with a close knit group of operatives, has an ongoing feud with Ra's al Ghul and has had a hand in introducing a bunch of other heroes - once again filling the role that Batman usually would.

Hawkeye Vs. Grendel

I was first introduced to Matt Wagner's Grendel through a couple of crossovers with Batman.  Those are some great stories and their worlds seem to work well together.  I have always liked the look of the Grendel mask and how the identity was taken on by multiple characters.
