The Green Lantern Corps and The Incredibles

I quite enjoyed the CGI Green Lantern and Beware the Batman series from several years back. The characters designs were done well and there were some truly impressive action sequences.  Some of the backgrounds could have been a little more detailed - lots of scenes taking place in giant empty rooms with maybe a single desk in them - but other than that the animation was pretty solid.  Hopefully, we'll see some more superhero shows in that format.

Green Lantern Corps and Eternity

It sounds like the Green Lantern Corps Max series is still on the way, even if it will take a while to get here.  Report have said it will be a mostly down to Earth mystery, which I am sure will help the budget.  Still, I hope they don't ignore too many of the fantastical off-world elements that makes The Corps such a cool concept.  Now that the strikes are over, hopefully we'll hear more about the direction of the show and casting for it soon.

Green Lantern Corps and Captain Marvel in "Get Them to the Guardians!"

I am hoping we get some casting news for the HBO Max Green Lantern Corps series soon.  John Stewart and Hal Jordan are being saved for the big screen, so this series will focus on Alan Scott, Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz.  I do hope they manage to get some alien GL's in there, despite a lower streaming budget. Chaselon makes everything better.

Mar-Vell previously met the GLC in STF #221...

Calvin & Hobbes join The Green Lantern Corps

I really hope that some forward momentum is happening behind the scenes with a Green Lantern Corps movie.  It seems like ages since we have heard anything about it.  I'm guessing that we will have to wait until the release of Wonder Woman 1984 before Warner Bros starts to clarify the future of the DCEU, and where characters like Flash, Superman and the GLC are going.  We haven't even had confirmation that Matt Reeve's Batman movie will be connected to WW1984 or the still years off Aquaman sequel.  Will JJ Abrams be their answer to Marvel's Kevin Feige?

Warlock and Tomar-Re

Continued from yesterday's cover, we see who the renegade Lantern turned out to be...

Tomar-Re was one of the first alien Green Lanterns that I was introduced to, and I have been a fan of him ever since.  I was glad to see that he was included in the cinematic Green Lantern, even if the film wasn't great and his design felt off to me.  I did like Geoffrey Rush providing his voice.  Hopefully his appearance there wont preclude him from being a part of the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie, he belongs in there (along with Chaselon, of course!)

Tomar-Re and The Beast

I am surprised that Marvel has never paired up The Beast and Tigra in an adventure.  They are both card carrying Avengers who are at peace with the furry forms they have been transformed into.  It seems like they would have a lot in common.  Not that you need to have much in common for an exciting tale.. Tomar-Re is about a different character thank Hank McCoy as you can ask for, but I'd still love to see them join forces.

Green Lantern Corps and Silver Surfer

If there is one death at DC I would like to undo, it's that of Katma Tui.  I always liked her character and was glad when she became a romantic interest for John Stewart, thinking she would get more to do.  Unfortunately that made her ripe for a sacrifice to motivate John and her fate was sealed.  It hurt even more when the grisly moment of her death at the hands of Star Sapphire was illustrated by legendary Green Lantern artist Gil Kane, making it seem more "real" to me. I thought that with her appearances on the animated Justice League Unlimited, she would make a comeback but alas I have not seen her return.

Green Lantern Corps Vs. Galactus

I was glad to see that Green Lantern Corps is among DC's future movies.  Not only does that mean that Hal Jordan will get another chance on the big screen, we will also see the live action debut of John Stewart.  I wonder which other GL's will fill out the roster though.  I'd pick Katma Tui for her relationship with Stewart as well as Tomar Re and Chaselon just because they are so darn cool.  I look forward to see the new character designs, as they all seemed a bit off the first time around.

This is only Part One of this cosmic tale - make sure you stop by tomorrow for the thrilling conclusion!

Green Lantern Corps Vs. Dark Phoenix

The one thing we know about DC's plan to bring back Green Lantern on the big screen is that he will appear in a movie titled Green Lantern Corps.  That's a good sign though, because it clears the way for other Earthbound GL's to appear in addition to Hal Jordan (who deserves another chance).  Let's hope that the always awesome Chaselon gets  more screen time too. I can't get enough of that mohawked sentient diamond.

Tomar-Re and Beta Ray Bill

I have always gotten a kick out of alien superheroes, an these are two of my absolute favorites.  I have been a fan of Beta Ray Bill ever since he made his logo-destroying debut in the pages of Walt Simonson's Thor run.  Tomar-Re is my second favorite alien Green Lantern (after Chaselon, love that guy) and while the GL movie was somewhat of a misfire, it was very cool to see him up on the big screen.  Hopefully Bill will get his chance in a Thor sequel.
