Wolverine and Ragman

 

No mention of Logan/Wolverine casting for Marvel's upcoming new era of X-Men has been made, and it's assumed that the character will no be part of the cast to begin with.  It will be interesting to see when and where the character is eventually reintroduced.  I just hope he's short when he finally debuts.

The Beast & Wonder Man Vs. The Brotherhood of Evil

 Of all of the X-Men returning for Avengers: Doomsday, I am looking forward to seeing The Beast the most.  He was cool in X3, but we didn't get to see him in nearly enough action scenes.  Hopefully that will be remedied in this new appearance.

Elongated Man Vs. The Absorbing Man

 

So this is where Ralph's been while his wife was out looking for him! I always thought that Crusher Creel could be a mighty force for good with his power set, but alas, he just doesn't have the mindset for that kind of life.

Iceman and Kid Flash

I always got a kick out of the team up trope in which heroes swapped villains.  Acts of Vengeance was one of my favorite Marvel storylines for that reason back in the day.  I saw that the recent DC KO event had some interesting match ups - Did anyone read that and is it or any of its spin offs worth checking out?

Raven and Moon Knight

 

When Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics' historian and Patron of this Blog, suggested this pairing, I agreed that these heroes would be interesting to see work with one another.  Then I realized that using Raven's white outfit would make them go together visually as well.  Thanks, Marc!

Angel and The New Teen Titans

 

You would think that the Titans would welcome a wealthy benefactor like Warren Worthington into their ranks, but it looks like drama has followed.  Just what could have happened to get Kori so worked up?

Worf Vs. Wolverine

 

Yes, Chronos has one of the most garish costumes out there.  I'm not sure which era the time villain has visited in which those striped leggings are in fashion.  Still, his mask at least has always looked cool to me and even creeped me out a little as a kid.

Starfire and Doc Samson

 

Can even Dr. Leonard Samson help these battling Tamaranians find some common ground, or would he just get caught up in their ongoing feud? I don't know, but it would be fun to read about!

Power Man & Iron Fist and Ragman

 

Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ is off to a strong start, and we know that The Punisher is scheduled to appear in the series.  That gives me hope that other characters from the Netflix series will get another chance.  I'd love to see a Heroes for Hire series that also includes The Daughters of the Dragon.

Black Canary and Ms. Marvel

 

I'm a little surprised that I haven't paired these two blonde heroines together yet.  Something tells me that they would get along well.  Maybe they would even have the makings of a World's Finest type of team.

G.I. Robot and Machine Man

 

Out of all of the cast of the upcoming Creature Commandos series, G.I. Robot is the one that I am the most curious about.  I really hope that James Gunn does the classic war comics character justice. I'm equally curious as to how Sean Gunn will perform the robotic voice.

Red Tornado and Nova

 

Red Tornado already has the power of The Tornado Tyrant within him, as told when his origin was fleshed out in one of my favorite JLA tales.  Getting an infusion from Galactus would really put him over the top.  It would be interesting to see what the ramifications of such a change would be.

Starfire and Giant-Man

 

With The Ghost set to appear in Thunderbolts, I hope we get an update as to the whereabouts of Bill Foster in the MCU.  He was last seen going off with her at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp, after all.  I also still hope we will someday get a flashback scene of him in full on Giant-Man action!

The Warriors Three Vs. The Demons Three

 

One of the first major missteps from Marvel for me took place in Thor: Ragnarok. While I liked the movie and loved Cate Blanchett as Hela, seeing them almost instantly slaughtered by her did not sit well with me.  They are great characters in the comics and they deserved better.  Bob Greenwade, regular commenter and Patron of this Blog, suggested that I pit them up against The Demons Three and I have to admit, that would make for a fun tale.  Thanks, Bob!

Elongated Man and The Falcon

 

Stilt-Man was always a goofy villain, but he did make for some really fun visuals.  It was interesting to see the artistic choices used to depict his action, with some extreme bird-eye and worm's eye views.  He and Elongated man tangled once before on the blog in STF #3897...

The Defenders Vs. Abnegezar, Rath & Ghast and Neron

 

The Defenders seemed to spend as much time or more battling demons and supernatural threats as they did traditional super-villains.  It might be interesting to see how they would fare against the denizens of DC's underworld.

The New Teen Titans and Shaman

 

For the conclusion to this three-part tale, we see that Alpha Flight's premiere mage has made the journey to Titans Tower.  He'll certainly be a big help to the team, but his teen years are behind him.  Let's hope he can fit in!

New Teen Titans and Alpha Flight

 

Presenting part One of a Three Part tale!  Looks like the NTT and Alpha Flight are participating in a hero exchange program.  Which two heroes will be involved?  You can guess now or just wait until part two tomorrow!

Scalphunter and Two-Gun Kid

 

I think the main reason that I have always liked Scalphunter is because of the strong impression that the first story I read featuring him had on me.  It was his appearance in The Brave and the Bold, and the amazing JL Garcia Lopez artwork in that issue blew me away.  I liked when the western heroes would cross over with DC's superheroes.  The above Scalphunter image was taken from when he, Bat Lash, Jonah Hex and Cinnamon showed in a couple of Justice League of America issues, another fun story.

The Avengers Vs. The Brotherhood of Evil

 

This would be a fun battle to see. The Brotherhood has a decent set of powers to draw upon - enough to give even The Worlds Mightiest Heroes pause.  I'm sure they would find a way to win in the end, but it woould be entertaining to watch them get there.
