Harley Quinn and Spider-Man

 

I'm a little bit surprised that I haven't paired these two together as solo acts yet.  The wisecracks would be flowing freely in this tale, that's for sure. Harley previously met Spidey as part of The Suicide Squad in STF #2782...

Hourman and She-Hulk

 

Just why would a founding JSA member and a gamma-induced Avenger join forces to confront a tyrant on the other side of the galaxy? I'm not sure... but I would have been willing to shell out sixty cents to find out!

Harley Quinn, Doc Samson and Moonstone

 

Harley Quinn has encountered Doc Samson before on this blog - they first met in STF #1216 and then crossed paths again in STF #2221.  Harley also squared off against Moonstone in STF #3122.  I thought it was time to get all of them together.

Zatanna and Brother Voodoo

I'd heard of  a couple of live action features starring Zatanna in the past few years - a solo film and a Justice League Dark movie - but with all of the restructuring going on at Warner Bros/Discovery, I don't believe either is moving forward at the moment.  The solo film was to be straight to streaming, which they are trying to get away from and the JLD movie was part of a production deal with JJ Abrams that hasn't

seemed to have really worked out.  I'm guessing we see Brother Voodoo on the big screen first.

Harley Quinn Vs. Daredevil

 

I always thought that Harley Quinn's original jester costume looked familiar, and I finally remembered why... and thus, a cover is born!  Sure, she traded spikes for bells, but it's pretty darn close!  Even when Harley changes outfits, I prefer when she sticks to the red and black color scheme.

Thor and Harley Quinn

It will be interesting to see how Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) fares at the box office this weekend.  I have to admit that for me, it looks like it will be a rental, unless they reviews manage to sway my opinion.  Harley Quinn looks great in it, but Huntress, Black Canary and Cassandra Cain do not seem like the characters I know from the comics. Hopefully once I see the whole movie, that will not remain the case.

OK, I want to give thanks for the idea of giving Thor HQ's mallet - but I seem to have misplaced my notes on that.  So, whoever it was, speak up, and thank you!

Mister Terrific and Wolverine

This might be a fun combo to see.  Wolverine is known to take the direct approach, using brute force and claws to clear obstacles in his way.  Mr. Terrific will assess a situation first before using intellect and gadgetry to find a resolution.  It would be interesting to watch them have to find a way to work together.

Doctor Fate Vs. Loki

Many are speculating which characters are going to make it out of Avengers: Infinity War alive, given that a lot of contracts will be up and that this marks the end of Marvel's "Phase Two" plans. I'm thinking at least that this will be the swam song for Tom Hiddleston's Loki.  He has appeared more than any other villain in the movie series.  Plus the teaser trailer hints at him bringing one of the Infinity Gems to Thanos, which I can imagine leads to a confrontation that won't end well for him.

Zatanna, Dr. Fate & Phantom Stranger and The Hulk

It's too bad that rights issues are preventing The Hulk from another solo film outing, but I don't mind too much because I like seeing how he interacts with other heroes anyway.  It will be fun to see him alongside Thor, and I hope for more movie appearances as well.  I'd love to see Spider-Man and the Hulk on the big screen together... and of course I one day hope to see a live action Hulk/Thing throwdown.
