Vixen and Valkyrie

This would be a different issue, with both heroines adapting to situations outside their usual worlds.  One of the great things about having characters with well defined personalities is the fun a writer can have by taking them out of their comfort zones.

Animal Man and Roger Rabbit

This cover poses an interesting question - would Buddy Baker be able to mimic the abilities of a toon?  I don't know if his powers extend that far, but it would be fun to find out!

The Avengers and Captain Marvel (Vs. Sivana!)

A lot of people loved Mark Strong as Sivana in the Shazam! movie.  While he made an effective villain, he seemed more like Lex Luthor with a scar on his eye to me.  I missed the short, ugly, maniacal classic Sivana from the comics.  I mean, he didn't even call Cap the "big red cheese" once!

The Avengers previously met Captain Marvel back in STF #259, and clashed with the whole Marvel Family in STF #1518...

Animal Man Vs. Aliens

We had fun speculating what would happen if Deadman attempted to take over a werewolf in STF #3105, now I pose the question - what happens if Animal Man tries to absorb the abilities of a Xenomorph?  Would he be able to go toe to toe with one of them or would their ability to overtake a host body lead to complications for good old Buddy Baker?  I'm not sure what the effects would be, but it would be fun to find out.

Ka-Zar and B'Wana Beast

B'wana Beast is one of the heroes that Grant Morrison brought back during his run on Animal Man.  Morrison is well known for his talent at writing off-beat and bizarre characters as well as his love for all of the obscure corners of DC's Silver Age, so showcasing this creator of animal hybrids was right up his alley.  Lets hope he doesn't sit on the shelf for decades before another writer takes a crack at him.

Thanks to BigMike20X6 for suggesting the idea of getting these two together!

Elongated Man and Moon Knight in: "I Hate You, Man"

Back by popular demand!  The boys return for another thriller due to overwhelming interest in their unique partnership.  OK, maybe that's not completely true... I'm the only one demanding this team.  What can I say, I like them together!

This is the third appearance of the MK/EM team - Ralph came to the rescue in STF #2518, and they first started working together in STF #2169...

Animal Man, Man-Thing and Concrete

I like all of these guys for their offbeat natures - Concrete would prefer to be a pacifist despite his powerful new body, Animal Man is conflicted by the very nature of his being a fictional character, and Man-Thing's silent nature always makes his motives tough to figure out.  It might be fun to have them thrown together to face a common enemy.

Sgt. Rock on the Planet of the Apes

I missed War for the Planet of the Apes in the theaters, but I enjoyed the first two installments enough to put an order in for the Blu Ray, so I will be checking it out as soon as it is released.  I have been a fan of the whole franchise since I was a kid.  I can remember watching the TV show, with plenty of Apes merchandise around the house - we had trading cards, lunch boxes, coloring books and action figures, they were pretty big in the 70's.

Animal Man in Jurassic Park

I had just finished reading Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park when  the movie adaptation was announced.  Dinosaurs had usually been pretty unconvincing on the big screen at that point, so I was glad that Stephen Spielberg would be directing, I knew he would pay close attention to the visuals.  And did he ever, that first groundbreaking movie still stands up on present day viewings.

Warriors of Wakanda

Black Panther is of course a key member of The Avengers, but I thought it would be cool if he had his own home-based team as well.  I liked the glimpse of Wakanda that we saw at the end of Captain America: Civil War, and I look forward to seeing that setting explored in the Black Panther solo film.

Martian Manhunter and The Avengers

Continued from yesterday's cover, we have part Two of our Three-Part Epic... make sure to return tomorrow for the thrilling conclusion!

I really loved the Roger Stern/John Buscema run on The Avengers.  This was truly the wide-screen type of action that the team is so well suited for.  I still remember being rocked by the battle with The Masters of Evil and hope to see the Siege on Avengers Mansion story line make it to the big screen one day.

Martian Manhunter and The Human Torch "In the Clutches of Kang!"

I know that the Avengers movies are all leading towards Thanos, and that's fun to anticipate.  Still, the one Avengers villain that I would love to see (after Ultron, already getting my wish there) is Kang.  The time-travelling aspect to this foe means that they could introduce all kinds of heroes into the mix.  The success of X-Men: Days of Future Past shows that audiences are ready for time spanning superhero epics, so let's make it happen, Marvel!

Green Lantern Vs. Thor

Ah, Thor battling with his helmet on and Green Lantern looking like a hero and not a disco dancer, two things I am still waiting to see on the big screen.  Thor: The Dark World looks to be fun, but I don't think his iconic helmet will even get the 5 second cameo it had in the first one, a decision that just annoys me.  After the failure of Green Lantern, a sequel is highly unlikely and we will probably have to wait for a JLA movie to see GL again - which might not even be Hal Jordan.  Hopefully they will have revamped his costume then, with a properly shaped mask and much less dependence on pulsating, glowing lines.
