Squadron Supreme Vs. The Anti-Monitor

Something tells me that if there were to be a crisis in the Marvel Multiverse, it would star with the Squadron Supreme's Earth. It would be interesting to see if they would have fared any better against the Anti-Monitor's forces than DC's Crime Syndicate did.

Silver Surfer Vs. The Anti-Monitor

After I had The Anti-Monitor and Galactus battle in STF #1845, I thought it would only be natural for Norrin Radd to get into the fray. Would the promise of his home planet's survival be enough to turn the Surfer to his side?  The answer is just 60 cents away!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vs. The Anti-Monitor

OK, if by some chance you haven't seen it and haven't had it spoiled for you yet - here there be SPOILERS for Avengers: Infinity War...

I loved the movie, even if I was a little annoyed by the cliffhanger ending, when we were led to believe that there wouldn't be one. You have to give the Russo Brothers credit for being able to balance to many characters so well, giving almost everyone a moment to shine.  They also balanced the humor, action and drama very deftly.  In some of Marvel's more recent attempts, the humor undercut the tension an bit too much for my taste, but here it was done just right. Gamora's death was the big shocker for me, I didn't expect it at all, even though story wise it was probably inevitable.  I think it will stick, too - as will all the deaths before the SNAP!  Zoe Saldana will be OK - she has two other space epic franchises with Star Trek and Avatar, after all - and her absence will make for great drama in the third Guardians of the Galaxy film.  There may be some hope for The Vision to return as the seeds were planted there with Shuri's attempts to save him.  As for those who turned to ash after the SNAP!, I think the question is about how they return rather than if, considering how many are slated to appear in already announced sequels.  I am sure I will enjoy this movie a lot more once the follow-up Avengers movie is released.  As it stands, it's a great half of a story.

The Anti-Monitor Vs. Galactus

I recently re-watched the Green Lantern animated series, and I really liked the use of The Anti-Monitor there.  It made me think about how cool it would be to see him show up in a future DC movie, it could make up for the disappointment of Galactus as a cloud in the second FF film.  On TV, The Flash and the other CW shows seem to eventually be heading towards a Crisis storyline, so maybe he could be used there too, if the budget allows.

Data Vs. The Anti-Monitor

Continued from yesterday's cover, we se that our heroes did indeed retrieve Data.  The Data and Picard-centric episodes were always my favorites from Star Trek: The Next Generation.  It's too bad that the natural aging of Brent Spiner probably prevents him from playing Data any further - there's only so many times they can drop in lines like, "Captain, I have initiated the double chin and love handle subroutine to more closely approximate the human experience."

Crisis in the Marvel Universe!

The heroes of the Marvel Universe really shouldn't be surprised by this development... they were warned of the impending danger by The Flash back in STF #573, and indeed first became aware of the threat way back in STF #100...

My original goal when I switched over to making Super-Team Family covers was to hit STF #500, and I am pleased that I have tripled that so far!  Thanks to all of the visitors and especially those who have supported me on Patreon!

The Anti-Monitor Vs. The Dark Phoenix

These two are among the most powerful characters in their respective universes, so it would be very cool to watch them clash.  I'm not sure who I would take in this battle.  The Anti-Monitor probably has more raw power at his disposal, but The Dark Phoenix has a mean streak that he can't match.  Regardless of the victor, there would be lots of damage in their wake, and that would be fun to see.

The Fantastic Four Vs. The Anti-Monitor

No villain has ever been too big or powerful for the Fantastic Four to face, so I think they would e a great team to go up against this crisis-inducing foe.  It has been cool to see a version of the Anti-Monitor on the soon to be late Green Lantern animated series.  I've always wanted to see an animated version of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and that's about a close as we will probably ever get.  We may indeed get to see some live action Negative Zone action in the future though, that's where I am hoping that the Fantastic Four movie reboot will take us.

The Avengers in Crisis

Well, The Avengers is approaching 800 million worldwide and it has a chance to make over a billion by the end of the weekend.  This will open the doors for a lot of comic based films which could be a good or bad thing depending on the quality of the productions.  Based on the mid-credits sequence, Marvel is not shying away from the truly epic events for future films, which opens up a lot of possibilities as well.  We still have The Dark Knight Rises to come this summer so it will be a one-two punch for great comic movies.  if the new incarnation of Spider-Man does well, it'll just be gravy.  It's a great time to be a comic book movie fan and the future looks very bright.
