This might have been a fun Golden Age pairing to see. Here's another random villain from those days. It's too bad The Future man didn't stick around - I guess there wasn't much to his future after all!
One of the things I enjoyed about the Sensational She-Hulk series was the obscure characters from Marvel's history that would show up as guest stars. I think that Space Cabbie would have fit right in.
Writers from Rick & Morty were hired to pen Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, and... well, it felt like a Rick & Morty episode. I kept thinking that if I saw some of the ideas and concepts on the Adult Swim cartoon, I probably would have enjoyed them a lot more. In the movie, something didn't quite gel for me and it all came off a bit goofy and forgettable. The talented cast that was assembled for the film deserved better.
It came out at a time when I checked out most anything Marvel or DC, and I was a fan of Every Which Way But Loose and BJ & The Bear... but I still could not get myself to pick up a copy of US 1 when it was released. Space truckers just seemed to be too oddball of a hook for a comic. I did finally read a little about them when they showed up in Sensational She-Hulk, and maybe I judged them too harshly. With the right writer, there are definitely some cool stories that can be told with the concept.
For the third chapter of our 7-part epic, we see that Tigra has not taken to kindly to the way she was treated by Cat-Man after giving him a chance to reform. Not even Gotham's original guardian will stop her from bringing him back to justice! I can't imagine Cat-Man will take this too well - make sure you check in tomorrow for chapter 4 to see what his reaction is!
