Judge Dredd and V

I had heard some rumors of a sequel movie or even a TV series for Karl Urban as Judge Dredd.  I don't know if anything is still in the planning stages, especially now that Urban has another his series, The Boys, underway.  I hope that he can find the time and a studio has interest, because it would be great to see another Dredd film.

A big thank you to Bob Sanders for suggesting this pairing!

The Shadow and V

It's been cool to see pulp heroes like The Shadow getting more attention in comics lately.  I love the character and his period setting and have enjoyed his adventures in different media.  The new comics look cool and I like how he has been crossing paths with other established characters.  The Alec Baldwin film, while not perfect, is still a guilty pleasure of mine.  But what I will mostly think of when it comes to The Shadow are his classic radio shows.  I used to listen to those on cassette tapes as a kid, and I thought they were moody and cool.

Dr. Fate and V

After reading Watchmen and Saga of The Swamp Thing, I was hungry for more comics by Alan Moore, so I was very interested when V For Vendetta was released.  Moore and artist David Lloyd created an amazing graphic experience with that story, filled with mystery, corruption and heroics.  It's a series that I have gone back and reread a few times, always getting something new out of it.
