Yondu and Green Lantern, Green Arrow & Black Canary

With the down to Earth feel of the upcoming Lanterns series on HBO Max, I'm surprised they didn't just go for a true hard travelling heroes type show and include Green Arrow into the mix.  Hopefully Ollie and Dinah will get their chance to shine eventually in the DCU.  Yondu first met Green Arrow in STF #3109...

Guardians of the Galaxy and Firestorm

It's nice to see that Firestorm is heading up his own comic series again.  From what I have read though, it seems like a decidedly different take.  The new title seems to be leaning into more of a horror vibe with the Firestorm powers becoming sentient or something?  I'm not sure, I've only seen a few previews.  Has anyone had a chance to check it out?

Elongated Man and Moon Knight (Vs. Mr. Universe!)

For the 15th appearance of the MK/EM Team, I figured I would put  them up against STF's greatest villain, Mr. Universe (making his 13th appearance).  Maybe they will be the two heroes to finally put this menace down for good!

War Machine and Brother Power, The Geek

I had been meaning to use Brother Power The Geek again, but I wanted to come up with a suitable co-star.  Who better to join the flower child hippie than a soldier wearing a suit designed for battle?  There would definitely be enough interpersonal dynamics to move the story along!

Justice League of America and Guardians of the Galaxy in "Cross-Time Favor!"

Another Two-Part Epic begins here! I have not heard any word on whether the Original Guardians of the Galaxy will show up again in James Gunn's third volume of the movie series, but since it will be his last outing for Marvel, I hope he finds a way to include them.  Now, which JLA enemy have they shown up on this cover to help defeat?  Make sure you come back tomorrow to find out!

These two teams also shared an adventure back in STF #2018...

Guardians of the Galaxy and Starfire

I think Starfire would be right at home with the Guardians of the Galaxy.  A princess bred for battle and at odds with her own people?  Sounds a bit like another character that will join a later iteration of the team.  Koriand'r really shines and gets to cut loose in an outer space environment, and we didn't get to see enough of that when she was with the Titans.

Super Friends and Guardians of the Galaxy

As a kid I thought that The Wonder Twins were an improvement over Wendy and Marvin, who seemed pretty useless on The Super Friends.  At least they had powers and could join in on the action.  Still, if they had to have more teens on the team, I would have preferred they used established DC characters like Wondergirl, Aqualad or Kid Flash.

All-Star Squadron and Guardians of the Galaxy (And More!)

This anniversary issue's tales all have their roots in earlier STF stories - Per Degaton started time-travelling in STF #2111...  The Surfer and Starfire tied the knot in STF #397, but were already facing difficulties in STF #398...  Thanos crossed the GLC in STF #1546 and Hal Jordan in STF #516...  and Adam Strange first met Captain Universe in STF #865, and first assisted The Federation in STF #2056.

Cherry Poptart and The Watcher

It was a pleasant surprise to see The Watchers make an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, because I had thought they were off limits due to being caught up in the rights to Fantastic Four related characters.  Apparently some kind of deal was worked out and they were allowed to be used.

The Avengers and Batman in "Deleting the Detective!"

The Avengers sequel is getting more and more crowded.  The Vision has been added to a cast that already includes Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Maria Hill and Ultron.  I figured that given the Ultron plot, The Vision might be hinted at or show up right at the end, but from the announcement That Paul Bettany will be playing the role, it seems like he will have a somewhat larger part.  Yeah, the movie will indeed be crowded - but so what, so were most of my favorite Avengers comics!

The New Teen Titans Vs. The Defenders

I'm not sure who I would pick in a battle between these two groups.  The Defenders have more experience and raw power, but the Titans work together as a team much better than they do.  If the Titans were able to use the Defenders' dysfunction against them, they might just have a fighting chance to take the day.  Whoever came out on top, it would be a blast to read about!

Red Tornado and The Vision

I've always liked these red-faced automatons and would love to see them return to prominence in their respective universes.  For me, The Vision has never quite recovered from the end of his relationship with The Scarlet Witch and being rebuilt in the pages of West Coast Avengers.  I have to admit that I haven't checked in on him since he got a new "teenage" synthezoid form so I don't know what his status is these days.  Red Tornado might not even have a status currently because I haven't seen a hint of him in the new DCU yet.  I have enjoyed solo adventures with these heroes, but I think they both worok the best in a team setting, so hopefully soon they will become active members of the Justice League and The Avengers.
