Spider-Man and The Atom

When Marc Tyler Nobleman, Comics' historian and Patron of this Blog, suggested I pair up Spidey and The Atom, It was a no-brainer.  No only have I not teamed them up before, but their costumes actually go together pretty well.  I never noticed that before.  Thanks, Marc!

The Punisher and Nightwing

This is another cover in which the final product makes it look like a relatively simple one.  Just plop The Punisher in behind Nightwing, right?  There was a bit more prep work before I could get to that stage though.  Here's a peek behind the process:

Council of Wizards

While I quite enjoyed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I think I'd still rank the first Doctor Strange movie higher than it, for a couple of reasons.  First, it had a better, more cohesive story (extensive reshoots and cuts reportedly altered the sequel's original narrative), and more importantly it had Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One.  Her presence was missed.  I haven't seen the new Fantastic Beasts film yet, but I'll be sure to check it out when it hits streaming for some fun Dumbledore spell casting action.

Daredevil and The Spectre

There has been plenty of speculation as to how Marvel will bring Daredevil into the MCU.  Charlie Cox was very popular on the Netflix series, so many fans would be happy to see him continue in the role.  Will Marvel keep him on board, along with his supporting characters and established continuity, or perhaps keep him as an actor but as another version of DD that isn't connected to the first series?  Maybe they don't want to confuse things and will bring in a new actor to play the man without fear.  What do you think they will do?

Giant-Man and Firestorm

Is Bill Foster still dead?  That's the kind of question you can only ask about comic characters.  I enjoyed following his story through his own short-lived series and then as a supporting character in Marvel Two-In-One as well as appearances in other titles.  He was killed by Ragnarok, a Thor Clone, in the first Civil War mini-series.  I'm not sure whether he's ever been brought back by any means.  I think there's a Bill Foster Jr. out there somewhere, maybe that's what I'm thinking of.

These two met during Foster's Black Goliath days in STF #2104...

Alfred and Black Panther

Andy Serkis is playing Alfred Pennyworth in the new Batman movie.  Filming has just begun, so perhaps we will see a shot of him in character soon - will we finally get a movie Alfred with a mustache? I'd still like to see Serkis return as Klaw in a Black Panther sequel.  Yes, he was killed, but that just means that he can come back in energy from as a more comic accurate version of the villain.
