Doc Samson and Two-Face

Harvey Dent indeed needs therapy, and who better to administer it than a super-strong shrink?  It would certainly be an interesting process to watch play out.

Starfire and Doc Samson

Can even Dr. Leonard Samson help these battling Tamaranians find some common ground, or would he just get caught up in their ongoing feud? I don't know, but it would be fun to read about!

Harley Quinn, Doc Samson and Moonstone

Harley Quinn has encountered Doc Samson before on this blog - they first met in STF #1216 and then crossed paths again in STF #2221.  Harley also squared off against Moonstone in STF #3122.  I thought it was time to get all of them together.

Batgirl and Doc Samson

Long time followers of this blog know that this confrontation has been brewing for a while now.  Commissioner Gordon was first summoned to Mongo by Flash in STF #2535, Barbara Gordon began searching for him in STF #3879, and finally tracked him down and went to collect him in STF #3535. It's good to see them back home safe and sound.

The Creeper and Doc Samson

Have we all forgotten that Doc Samson is part of the MCU.  If William Hurt and Tim Roth could continue their roles after The Incredible Hulk, then way can't Doctor Leonard Samson?  Actually, if he were to get a Gamma infusion like in the comics, this might be a good candidate to recast.  As much as I like Ty Burrell, It might be hard to take the former Phil Dunphy seriously with  a muscular physique and long green hair!

Doc Samson and Raven

The She-Hulk Disney+ series will be bringing us the adventures of a gamma-powered attorney soon.  What better place to also introduce a gamma powered therapist?  Ty Burrell appeared as Doctor Leonard Samson in The Incredible Hulk, so he's already technically in the MCU. I want to see the green haired muscled up version though, so there would have to be some re-casting.  I think a bodybuilder with acting chops could pull off the role, no need for CGI.

Doc Samson Vs. Harley Quinn in: "Psychiatric Breakdown!"

DC seems determined to bring Harley Quinn back to the big screen, they just don't seem to be able to decide just how to do that.  There have been films floated for Harley and The Joker, Gotham City Sirens, Batgirl, Suicide Squad 2 and Batman - any of which could showcase  Dr. Harleen Quinzel's breed of insanity.  A Batgirl film seems to be getting the most steam these days, but DC changes their plans from week to week, so who knows where Margot Robbie will put on the face paint again?

These two shrinks first crossed paths in STF #1216...

Doc Samson and The Joker

The Joker has been known to be quite adept at manipulating psychiatrists, so this is a match-up that could be very interesting.  Samson isn't quite the pushover some of The Joker's previous shrinks have been though - he is used to highly unusual patients that are prone to violence, and plus he has that whole super-strength thing on his side.  They might find some common ground with the green hair, but that's about it!

Harley Quinn and Doc Samson

We've seen Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn looking like her more recent comic incarnation for the upcoming Suicide Squad film, but will she ever don the classic look from the characters original appearances in comics and animation?  While it may not fit in with the gritty look they seem to be going for with the movie,  I'd love to see an attempt made.  There's no reason they can't pull it off successfully when so many cosplayers already have.

Justice League of America and Doc Samson

I see that Marvel is once again going to be introducing an all-new Hulk (latest rumors having Amadeus Cho being the one who transforms).  This might have been exciting news for me a few decades ago, but Marvel has gone to this well a few too many times.  I think I liked it better when the only spin-offs were She-Hulk and Doc Samson.  Old Jade Jaws seemed a little more unique then.

You would think that Batman would have warned his JLA teammates not to consult with Doc Samson, considering how his solo session went.

The Lightning Bolts

I wonder what it is about lightning bolts being used as motifs for superhero uniforms.  There sure are a lot of them! I guess it's because they can stand for electricity, speed or power so they fit a lot of skill sets.  At any rate, I had gotten a few requests for a team that shares this theme, so I figured I would give it a shot.  I have to say, this would be a fun crew to watch work together.

Doc Samson and Superman

This is the first cover where I have used an image featuring Superman in his New 52 duds.  It's not a bad look for him, but the collar just has to go.  Frankly with the negative reaction to it as well as the fact that Superman in Man of Steel was collar-free, I am surprised it is still there.  At least he still has some kind of an "S" on the cape.  I prefer a yellow "S" but it's better than the blank look of the movie and cartoons.

Batman and Doc Samson

This one I made just today and since we have already passed the appropriate spot in the alphabet, up it goes. Doc Samson was another of Marvel's C-listers that I always liked as a kid. I thought his job as a psychologist was a nice juxtaposition with his gamma produced strength and that he had a cool costume. There have been redesigns of his outfit over the years, but nothing tops his original look.
