Hercules and Cyborg

 

Hercules was introduced in an MCU post credits scene, but when will we see him again?  There has been talk of a 5th Thor film, but I don't know if that is definite yet.  The next two Avengers movies are supposed to be jam packed with heroes, perhaps he will make an appearance in one of them.

Bees have always creeped me out. I can only imagine how much worse giant mechanical bees would be.  Hopefully this would tunr out to be a buzzworthy issue.

Hercules and The Tick

 

Now these two heroes I am sure would get along.  Their heroism loving personalities with a dash of vanity and great strength to back up their boasts would probably make them fast friends.  It would be a fun romp to see them working togather.

Superman and Hercules Meet Godzilla

 

When James Gunn announced that the first phase of the new cinematic DCU would be subtitled Gods and Monsters, it brought to mind a scenario like the one depicted above.  I'm not sure what he ultimately has planned, but a classic film featuring not one but two heroic Reeves encountering the King of all Monsters would have been on my regular play list.

The Avengers Vs. Black Adam

 

As we reach the mid-point of this 5-Part Tale, we see that Black Adam is using his cosmically charged power to tear through Earth's Mightiest Heroes!  One member of the team thinks they have what it takes to face him solo, though.  Who is it, and are they correct?  Make sure you come back tomorrow for Part Four!

Vixen and Hercules in: "Stone Love!"

 

For this, the 12th appearance of Hercules and Vixen together, it looks as though they have run afoul of The Grey Gargoyle.  That guy used to really creep me out when I was a kid.  Being turned to stone seemed like a fate worse than death.  At least it was eventually reversible, unlike the same effect from the Greek god Medusa.

For the conclusion of this Five-Part Epic, we see that The Enchantress' lost love was none other than King Arthur of Camelot 3000.  Let's wish our STF couples some peaceful times ahead after all they've been through. Hey, nobody said comic book romances wound be easy.

This marks the eight appearance of the Herc/Vixen team, and we see that there may be a few hiccups on the way to wedded bliss.  Hey, this is comics, nothing ever seems to go completely smoothly with superhero weddings!  Hercules in the MCU has some very fun possibilities - and the actor chosen to play him has me wanting to see more.

Vixen Marries Hercules

 

I've put this couple through enough - for the lucky seventh appearance of the Herc/Vixen romance, I've decided to give them a happy ending and finally have them tie the knot. Wonder Woman marrying Captain America has proved to be one of my most popular covers, so I felt this blog could use another wedding, even if the path there may not have been a completely smooth one for Herc and Mari.  Will it be smooth sailing for the happy couple from here on out?  Only future covers will tell that tale.

Vixen and Hercules in: "Love's Last Breath!"

 This marks the sixth appearance of the Herc/Vixen team, and it looks like Mari McCabe was just a little too late in reciprocating Hercules' affections. What good is a comic book romance if you can't inject a bit of tragedy? This cover also finally allows me to include The Recorder, a character I was introduced to in the 80's Hercules Mini-Series.  I always got a kick out of that guy, and I have been meaning to use him for years.

This marks the fifth appearance of the Herc/Vixen romance, so I thought that it was time that they received their own tag.  Vixen is at last finally giving the smitten demigod a chance - let's hope he doesn't blow it.  Time (and future covers) will tell if she starts to truly reciprocate his feelings.

Vixen and Hercules in: "Crisis of Infinite Hercs!"

 

Poor Hercules just can't get a break in his attempts to woo Vixen. These two were last seen up against a pair of Rocs in STF #3277... Before that, they were battling giant snakes in STF #3096, and Hercules first became attracted to Vixen in STF #3014...  Will she ever agree to accept his offer for a date?  You'll just have to wait for the next time they meet up to find that out!

Continuing the (thus far) one-sided romantic adventures of Herc and Vixen!  Hey, not every couple can instantly click like Wonder Woman and Captain America... 

These two were last seen battling giant snakes in STF #3096, and Hercules first became attracted to Vixen in STF #3014...  Will the Lion of Olympus ever win the heart of Mari McCabe? Only time (and future covers) will tell...

Superboy and Hercules

 

I'm not sure exacly what's going on with Superboy these days.  For a while there was Kon-El, the clone with DNA from Superman and Lex Luthor.  He was killed off but brought back later I think.  Maybe he's running with Young Justice now? Then there's Jon Kent,  the son of Clark and Lois.  Sometimes he's depicted as young, teaming up with Damian Wayne as the Super-Sons and sometimes a bit older, where he's with the LSH.  So, there's anywhere from 1-3 Superboys currently out there.  I think things were a lot simpler when Superboy was just the Adventures of Superman as a boy!

Dreadstar and Hercules

 

If Marvel decides to bring Hercules into the MCU, they need look no further than Bob Layton's two Hercules: Prince of Power mini series from 1982 and 1984.  Like Thor: Ragnarok, they took a hero with roots in the mythology and transplanted him into a comedic science-fiction based adventure, with impressive results.  The only trick will be finding another actor that has the comic acting chops to match his larger than life physique!

Avengers and Booster Gold

 

Wasn't there talk of a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle movie a few years ago?  I wonder how far into development it got before being put on the back burner along with Spielberg's Blackhawk and other movies announced but never produced.  Maybe a HBO Max series might be a better choice for the property anyway, we'll see if the project gets another chance on that platform.

Hercules and Vixen in: "The Olympian Has Fallen!"

Presenting the second meeting between two heroes that really need to join their respective cinematic universes.  Vixen was realized well on TV, but they didn't do enough with her character.  Marvel's Hercules has yet to make a live action appearance, and that is something that must be rectified.

Hercules first became attracted to Vixen in STF #3014... Will he be able to win her over?  Only time (and future covers) will tell...

I've had some fun with romantic relationships on this blog, most notably with the ongoing sagas of Wonder Woman and Captain America and The Power Couple.  I intend for both of those to continue, but I thought it might be time to start another romance.  Of course, we are only in the beginning here - Hercules may be smitten by the end of this tale, but will his feelings be reciprocated?  Only time (and future covers) will tell!
