Lobo Vs. Sabretooth
Who do you think wins this fight? I think that Lobo might have a slight edge, but it would be a long and bloody battle. Then again, Sabretooth just doesn't stay down...

The Rocket Pack in: "The Fuse is Lit!"
The Rocket Pack first appeared in STF #3760, and as soon as I made the cover I realized there was antoher hero that I wanted to add. I liked Kurt Busiek's Power Company comic for DC back in the day, though it did not last very long. My favorite character in that series was Skyrocket. It's too bad she has only made a couple of small cameo appearances since that series ended. I felt like she had a lot of potential, and I liked that she was not just a female version of a previously existing male character.

Justice League of America and Blade
DC seems to really like messing with its cast of characters in their out-of-continuity tales. The Injustice games and comics depict a DCU that's gone down the darkest path, DCeased featured zombified heroes and these days they've been transformed into vampires. They really need a guy like Blade to step in and sort things out!

Galactus and Eclipso
Usually the final step in creating these covers is for me to step back, look at the image and then try to come up with some captions, dialogue or a title that will give an idea as to what the story inside might be about. Every once in a while, I feel that the image alone is enough to suggest the contents without any other additional information. This is one of those cases - I couldn't think of anything that I would add to this cover that would do anything besides clutter it up.

Metamorpho Vs. Sandman
I think this would be an interesting pairing. Rex Mason and Flint Marko both seem like regular hard working blue collar guys who have undergone amazing alterations to their bodies' chemistry. Rex chose to be a hero, although he has had temptations to go over to the wrong side of the law. Flint engaged in a life of crime, but his heroic aspirations still come through from time to time. They really aren't that different from one another.

Nick Fury in the DC Universe
I get it, Samuel L. Jackson is a great actor and it's been a blast to watch him in the role of Nick Fury in the Marvel movies. I just wish that the comics side didn't feel the need to take the Nick Fury that I have been following for decades off the table just because he doesn't look like the popular film version. It was the same deal with Hawkeye's costume - I understand why they went in a different direction for the movies, but was disappointed when the comics followed along by changing his outfit there as well. I prefer when the movies take their cues from the comics and not the other way around.

Scalphunter and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
The newest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise is about to hit theaters and I wonder if it will be able to recapture some of the magic from the first film. Chris Pratt certainly has the acting chops to anchor the movie, but some of the plot points - creating new hybrid dinosaurs, training raptors to work with humans - sound pretty wonky. I may wait for the rental on this one.

Metamorpho Vs. The Absorbing Man
I think that this would be a really cool battle to see. Metamorpho can change his shape and mimic any element, while The Absorbing Man's body takes on the properties of anything it touches. That would make them an good match for one another. Plus, you know that the fight would be very cool to look at as their powers make for interesting visuals. I'd give Rex Mason the edge in this conflict, but Crusher Creel is skilled enough at using his abilities that he would make it a close one.
