The Quarrymen in: "Rock and Rule!"

I'm surprised that it took me until the fourth appearance of The Quarrymen to pit them against Terrax.  It seems like a natural confrontation, and I am betting that this former herald of Galactus will give them a run for their money.

Star Trek and The Herculoids

Would have loved to have seen this crossover for real.  Especially when they both had their own cartoon shows.  That would have made for a mind-blowing Saturday morning!

The Herculoids on the Planet of the Apes

I'm not sure why The Herculoids home Planet was later renamed Quasar when the property was brought back for new adventures - the former name of Amzot was a more unique and cool choice, in my opinion.  A minor nitpick to be sure, I'll never complain much about extra Herculoids episodes!

Legion of Super-Pets and The Herculoids

I've always been a fan of The Herculoids, and mostly because of the alien creatures on the team.  I liked that they were not treated as pets, but equal members of the roster.  Alex Toth's amazing designs made them always look cool, despite the limited animation.  My only gripe was Zok the Dragon's loud screech, which was a bit overused and could get a little annoying.

The Quarrymen (The Animated Series!)

The Quarrymen continue to evolve in their fourth appearance.  The team began when The Thing met Igoo in STF #163, Blok joined in STF #270,  Badrock was recruited in STF #1185, and now they have their own cartoon show!  Despite the similarity of stony forms, these heroes all have very different personalities.  I bet this would actually be a fun group to follow.

Galactus Vs. The Herculoids

Watching the Inner Earth segments of the silly but tons of fun Godzilla Vs. Kong reminded me a lot of the world of The Herculoids, and how cool a modern take would be on the Hanna Barbera property.  We are at a place where CGI could convincingly bring Zandor and company to life, but I wouldn't mind seeing an updated animated version either.  One way or another, I hope to see The Herculoids return some day.

The Herculoids meet The Silver Surfer

Here's another crossover that I thought should have happened when I was a kid because the Silver Surfer appeared on some Fantastic Four episodes as part of Hanna-Barbera's World of Super Adventure.  Since The Herculoids were also a part of that anthology cartoon show, I saw no reasons why Galactus most famous herald wouldn't visit Amzot.

Adam Strange and The Herculoids in: "Invading Vader!"

Seriously, we need to see a Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe get going.  Not only would a Space Ghost film be epic, Herculoids would look amazing on the big screen.   We are finally at a point where the effects needed to do justice to all of the alien animal sidekicks are available.  And just think of the marketing!  Move over, Baby Yoda - plush Gleep and Gloop toys are on the way!

Adam previously met the Herculoids in STF #2670...

Adam Strange and The Herculoids

I really enjoyed the Future Quest mini-series that featured the stars of the various Hanna-Barbera cartoons that I used to watch as a kid.  The Herculoids were my favorite of the bunch, so it was great to see them in a new adventure on the comics page.  Plus with art  by the likes of Evan Shaner and Aaron Lopresti, the never looked better!

Hercules and The Herculoids

This was another no-brainer team-up that I somehow didn't think of, so I am thankful to Blog Patron Tim Stellmach for suggesting it to me. It's very cool to see The Herculoids back in comics again.  DC has been having fun with the Hanna-Barbera properties lately.  Seeing artists like Aaron Lopresti interpreting Alex Toth's designs is a real treat.

The Quarrymen

Back in STF #270, I presented the beginnings of this team.  A few commented that Badrock from Image Comics would fit right in with the group I had assembled, and I have to agree.  So, now with their return appearance, they have added him in as a member,

Finally clear shots of The Thing from the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot have been making the rounds, and I am less than impressed.  I was happy to hear that they were going with a CGI Thing this time around because I figured they could make him look just like the comics.  Then design they came up with is way off - His size seems to change from image to image, his face is all wrong, he has too many fingers and for some reason he's not wearing pants in any of the pictures released.

The Fantastic Four and The Herculoids

I was a Huge fan of Hanna-Barberra's World of Super Adventure as a young tyke. There were some crossovers between the various features that appeared on that show, But the Fantastic Four never got to be included in that fun.  I would have loved to see an episode where Marvel's first family mixed it up with Herculoids.  Kirby designs and Toth designs together - it would have been a feast for the eyes!.

Igoo, Concrete and Blok

I think that this would be a fun group in that despite their outward appearances, they all have very distinct personalities.  Igoo is the strong silent type, while Concrete would be more likely to use eloquence over brute force.  Blok brings in the youthful attitude and future perspective, while The Thing is the everyman that would unite the team together.  Between these four, I can see all sorts of possibilities for adventure.

Adam Strange and Space Ghost (Part One)

I haven't seen Adam Strange popping up in the new DCU, and that's too bad because DC had been doing a good job of featuring him prior to the relaunch.  Hopefully when he returns, he will not have strayed too far from the elements that made him great - a man of two worlds who uses science, courage and  ingenuity to battle outlandish menaces.

One great Alex Toth design deserves another, so I thought I would throw Igoo in here as well as Space Ghost.
