Jessica Drew has become entangled in mysteries regarding her origins before. Perhaps The Shadow could help her uncover some long-hidden truths.

I'm surprised that it took me until the fourth appearance of The Quarrymen to pit them against Terrax. It seems like a natural confrontation, and I am betting that this former herald of Galactus will give them a run for their money.
If you were wondering where the rest of the Totalitarians were while Super-Skrull was battling Metamorpho a few days ago, well here is a partial answer to that question. Let's hope that teamwork from Earth's Mightiest Heroes wins the day!
Uh-oh, looks like Kang's Timeskipper needs some assistance after Kang's run in with Spider-Man and The Legion of Super-Heroes in STF #3671. He still has a Legionnaire under his thrall though, along with an Avenger, thanks to Dr. Psycho's mind manipulation. Let's hope they can break free and save the day.
This off-beat pairing came from a suggestion by Arcadia Berger, a Patron of this Blog. I had to admit that I was not familiar with the Jules Verne-inspired hero and it was tough to find a usable image of him. I finally found a cover to an Italian paperback that would work, end here are the results. Thanks for the idea and the patronage, Arcadia!
This cover marks the 15th appearance of The Danvers Twins. I think that Bob Greenwade, a Patron of this Blog, has a good chance to win the movie role teased here - he's been suggesting a Benoist/Larson cover appearance for a while now. Lets just hope The Danvers Twins movie fares better then The Marvels at the Box Office!
I don't know too much about The Elementals, but they always looked like a pretty cool team. who better to pair them up with than the Element Man himself? Oh, the visuals that would ensue.
Here's another cover that required a bit of prep work. The Metamorpho and Doom images went together well, but before I could combine them, I had to do a lot of clean up and rebuilding of the background first. Here is peek behind the scenes:
I enjoyed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, so when I saw that director Destin Daniel Cretton was involved with American Born Chinese, another comic-based property on Disney+, I decided to check it out. I'm halfway through the series and I am really enjoying it. It has an interesting story, engaging characters, and fun supporting roles by recent Oscar winners Michelle Yeoh and Key Huy Quan.
This is another cover in which I had a bit of de-cluttering to do before I added in any new elements. Here a look at the behind the scenes process:
ROM had a great comic book tie in back in the day - so why didn't the toy become more popular than it was? I think one major mistake was not looking to what Marvel was doing for inspiration in expanding the line. Pretty much all you could get was ROM himself, I saw no other Spaceknights on the shelves next to him, let alone vehicles and accessories. An even bigger issue was that you could not even purchase a toy Dire Wraith for him to battle with. What good was that cool weapon of his if you couldn't blast his arch enemies? That was truly a lost opportunity.
The Duck Dodgers shorts are among my favorite Daffy Duck appearances. Like all kids, I loved the Looney Tunes characters, and I was fascinated with outer space epics once Star Wars hit the scene in 1977 - so anything that combined the two was sure to appeal to my young eyes. Heck, they still appeal to my rapidly aging eyes!
I'll never forget the comic in which Storm debuted her punk look with the leather outfit and mohawk. In those pre-internet days, a wild alteration in her appearance truly took readers by surprise - I remember Kitty Pryde mirroring my shock in the pages of the story. The new look didn't come completely out of nowhere, though. Chris Claremont had written Ororo in such a way that the reader could see her desire for change.
One question that I have for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is exactly what role The Scarlet Witch will play in it. Will Wanda be the true adversary of the film, or will she be influenced by outside sources? I'd hate to see her turn irredeemably evil, but she did do some pretty bad things to innocent people in Wanda/Vision. As I have mentioned before, I am doing my best to avoid spoilers for the film, so I'll just have to see it to find out.
They may have different fighting styles, but both of these guys have a real respect for training and keeping their skills sharp. I imagine that they would get along pretty well and it wouldn't be hard to think of a story where their paths would cross.
The High Evolutionary seems like another Marvel villain that is ripe for the MCU treatment. Stories featuring him always took some twisted turns. I can see him being fascinated by a specimen like Metamorpho.
Ant-Man also helped Animal Man out of a High Evolutionary experiment way back in STF #283...
Marvel has released the trailer to its next Disney+ Show - What If? While the animation style will take a little getting used to, the stories it promises to tell sound like a lot of fun. There are Tony Stark meeting Erik Killmonger, T'Challa becoming Starlord, Agent Carter taking on Captain America's shield, Marvel Zombies and more - we even saw Howard the Duck in there. Jeffrey Wright has a great voice for The Watcher, hopefully he'll get to play the character in live action eventually as well.
Ever since Poison Ivy mentioned that she was building an Ivy League in STF #2714, I've been meaning to actually put that team together on a cover. I've also been meaning to use Audrey II for a while. I still remember going to see a live production of Little Shop of Horrors in Boston when I was in my teens, and loving it. I still listen to the soundtrack, so many fun songs.
Wouldn't you know it, I had created this new team and had this cover all ready to go, when I saw the promotional campaign for The Suicide Squad start kicking in. On the posters was the line, "They're Dying to Save The World!" Hey, that's a little close to the tag line that I created for these guys! Has James Gunn been spying on me? Yeah, maybe not. I'm sure he has more important things to do than set up surveillance on my mashup project, so I'll just chalk it up to coincidence.
