Cloak and Dagger and The Creeper

They may all be street-level heroes, but that's about where the similarity ends.  It might be fun to see everyone thrown into an adventure together.  The Creeper has run afoul of The Kingpin a couple of times on this blog, I can see this tale spinning out of that rivalry.

Sleepwalker Vs. Batman's Villains

The villains in Batman's rogues gallery have made for some true nightmare scenarios and visually stunning dream sequences.  It might be fun to put a hero in there that could face off with them in the dreamworld.

The Spectre and X-Factor

Jean Grey went from an innocent young mutant to arguably the X-Men's most powerful member.  She committed some terrible acts while under the influence of the Phoenix Force, however. Would the spirit of vengeance find her responsible for those deeds?  Finding out might make for an interesting issue.

Mr. Terrific and The Spirit

When I was a kid, I had plenty of super hero images decorating my room.  They were all of Marvel and DC characters, because that's pretty much all I read at that point.  There was one exception though - a mini-poster of The Spirit kicking in a door.  While I wasn't familiar with the character yet, there was so much energy in the Will Eisner image that I loved looking at it.  Eventually I got my eyes on some Spirit stories and appreciated the character even more.

Robin and The New Mutants

I remember being excited about the arrival of the New Mutants.  As crazy as it sounds now, a spinoff ongoing comic from The Uncanny X-Men was a new thing, and I could get on the ground floor.  Well, not exactly the ground floor.  I remember being frustrated that their debut was made in a graphic novel, only available in comic shops.  It would be years before I got my hands on that first chapter.

Teen Titans and Professor X

Presenting Part One of a Two-Part Epic!  Make sure you come back tomorrow to see the exciting conclusion! You can probably guess where it's going.

Tom Mandrake inked over Sal Buscema's pencils on this Professor X Image.  He would later move on to full art chores where his signature style really got a chance to flourish.  I was lucky to pick up a sketch by him many years ago:

Wolverine and The Spectre

Logan looks to be a very different take on Wolverine than any past movie appearance.  I read Old Man Logan in the comics, but the film appears to only have a few similarities, telling it's own tale of an older Wolverine.  It's hard to tell though, the trailers have not given away much, which is a good thing.  Let's hope that Hug Jackman's final turn in the role is the most memorable.

Crisis in the Marvel Universe!

The heroes of the Marvel Universe really shouldn't be surprised by this development... they were warned of the impending danger by The Flash back in STF #573, and indeed first became aware of the threat way back in STF #100...

My original goal when I switched over to making Super-Team Family covers was to hit STF #500, and I am pleased that I have tripled that so far!  Thanks to all of the visitors and especially those who have supported me on Patreon!

Martian Manhunter vs. The Hulk

It's an exciting time to be a DC comics fan if you like TV and film adaptations, with so many characters ready to come to life on the big and small screen.  My one real disappointment is no mention of J'onn J'onzz in any of the various plans yet.  I was kind of hoping The Rock was teasing his casting as The Martian Manhunter for the JLA films, but he will be playing Black Adam instead.  DC is certainly giving the character a push, as a new ongoing Martian Manhunter series has been announced, so hopefully that means there is still hope that he is part of their cinematic universe plans.  I guess they have to save something for the sequels!

The Spectre and Doctor Who

Tom Baker is still my favorite incarnation of Doctor who, although I quite liked the Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant versions as well.  I'm not sure what it is about the latest Doctor, Matt Smith, but he just misses the mark for me.  I recently watched the newest Christmas Special, and by the end I was hoping for another regeneration, but it looks like Smith will be staying in the role a bit longer.  It's not a deal breaker for me, because the show is still filled with a ton of imagination and Dr. Who has one of the best rogues galleries outside of comics.

Has the Spectre appeared in the New 52 yet?  I don't think I have heard anything yet, but I am sure that it is only a matter of time. When he does show up, it will be interesting to see what his appearance will look like and who his host will be.  Let's hope he will be goatee-free this time around.
