Thor will be back in serious mode for Avengers: Doomsday after leaning into comedy for his last few appearances. That will be a welcome change and I look forward to seeing what he gets up to. I do wish his longer hair would return as well, he's been getting farther and farther away from his classic comic book appearance.

Not related to this cover, but a suggestion in honour of the new movie: Dick Tracy and Batman vs. Clayface and Pruneface
@Ross: I wouldn't be surprised if Thor's short hair is an excuse (on the part of possibly lazy writers) to never having him wear the winged helmet, again. As for this artistic rendition of the thunder god; is he one of the Mitey 'Vengers (Mojoverse enemies of the X-Babies)? If so, I wonder if he and Tintin are going to visit your version of the canonically ill-fated Warren Curzon. The Scotland Yard detective inspector who (while on detached duty with NYPD's Code Blue on Earth -616) found proof that the Asgardians were just extra-dimensional humanoids merely emulating figures of Norse mythology! Only to get reduced to ash by Amora the Enchantress. So, woe to this Thor and Tintin if they're investigating the same possibility.
Opening weekend, "Clayface" reportedly grossed only $24 million bucks, domestically (roughly $16 million less than its total production costs). And I know for a fact it's not doing that hot at my local hometown multiplex. So, I wouldn't be surprised if it winds up replacing Liam Neeson's "The Mongoose" in Theater Number One (the smallest theater out of six, usually used for end-of-contracted run flicks) by the Monday before Veterans' Day!
hard to comment with all the feelings going thru from the cover.
Has Thor ever met Asterix?
@Anon252: not yet. But, Tintin met him once (Asterix, that is). Way back @ STF #342 (3/21/2013)! And, as they were being menaced by Cthulhu, himself, at that time, maybe that's what Tintin is really doing with Thor. Trying to prevent Cthulhu from paying another call!
How about Pinky and the Brain vs. Cat-hulhu?*
*A Lovecraftian Bill the Cat?
You know: if Bill the Cat suddenly turned into a flerkin?
I'd rather see a reunion between Tintin and Dick Tracy. The last time they worked together was in STF #218 (@ October of 14 years ago)!
