Blade Vs. 4 Famous Co-Stars

You have to feel bad for Mahershala Ali.  He was announced as the MCU Blade to much fanfare back in 2019... and his movie is still in development hell.  First it was plagued by script rewrites and they have completely started over at least once.  As soon as the production seemed to have found its footing, Hollywood was hit by actors' and writers' strikes, still unresolved.  There is still no sign of a Blade movie on the schedule even looking a few years down the road. Maybe the role is cursed and not just the character?

Little Nemo and Sandman

I haven't heard much about a potential Sandman live action movie since Joseph Gordon-Levitt announced that he was parting ways with the production.  I can understand why there would be difficulty in adapting Neil Gaiman's epic tale and I would rather the time be taken to do it right, so that's not necessarily a bad thing.  Still, I hope the film has not been completely abandoned.

Thank you to Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics' historian and Patron of this blog, for the idea to pair these two!

Nightshade and Dagger

I have been meaning to feature Nightshade on a cover ever since I began this blog, and I am just now getting around to it.  I have always been fond of the Charlton/DC character as she was the very first superhero that my favorite artist, Jim Aparo, ever worked on (if I am not mistaken). She didn't sport the above look very long - in fact she seems to get a whole costume overhaul every time she is reintroduced.

Alfred and Jarvis

This pairing has been one of my most frequent requests.  I can understand why, because I have always enjoyed both characters and the unique perspective they bring to the comic book worlds that they inhabit.  I've actually lost track of Jarvis in the past several years.  Did he survive the Brian Michael Bendis era?  Has Marvel tried to transform him into just a computer program, to more closely reflect the movies?  I hope he has received better treatment than that!  Alfred just survived another close call with The Joker, but I am sure he`ll be sticking around.  He looks to have a large role to play in the upcoming Beware the Batman animated series and it's only a matter of time before we see him in a rebooted Batman film franchise. Let's hope the next actor to play him will be sporting a mustache for once!
