Galactus Vs. The Seven Soldiers of Victory

 

Yeah, I don't know how this group is expected to be able to take on the World Devourer either.  It would be fun to watch them try, though!  Let's hope that one of them has an ace up their sleeve.

Dial H For Hero and Power Man & Iron Fist

 

Yes, I know that Dial "H" For Heroes For Hire was another way to go with this team up.  I thought that might be a little too obvious though, so I decided to take the tale in a slightly different angle by having Robby summon forth the champion of Eternia.

Ultra the Multi-Alien and The Silver Surfer

 

Ultra The Multi-Alien is definitely a Silver Age C-lister, but as a kid, I thought he was pretty cool.  Maybe it's because he looks like something that a kid might have come up with.  We used to play a game where we would fold paper in three and pass it around with each of us kids drawing a head, torso, or legs on it.  Then you would unfold the paper and see what kind of crazy character was created.  Ultra reminds me of one of those.

Dial "H" For Hulk

I was getting interested in the potential casting of Alison Brie as She-Hulk in the upcoming Disney+ Series, but since the global pandemic has shifted all of Hollywood's schedules, we won't be seeing it hit screens until 2022 (along with Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight).  I'm guessing it will be a while before we hear any more news on the show in that case.  I had also read that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk would be appearing in the show.  I wonder if he will show up anywhere else in the MCU before then.

Spider-Woman and Hawkwoman

Jessica Drew is long overdue to join the MCU.  There are plenty of ways to introduce her, given her ties to S.H.I.E.L.D. and  her thematic similarities to Spider-Man.  She's even been wearing a far more movie-friendly costume in the comics for the past few years.  She had her own cartoon in the 80's, surely some of the viewers of that show are now adults in the movie business that would be happy to work on her live action adventures.

The Phantom Stranger and Iron Man

This is a good example of a cover that was a bit trickier to accomplish than may look at first glance.  One might think that all that needed to be done was to add in an image of Iron Man on top of the Phantom Stranger splash.  As you can see below, I used the splash page from DC Comics Presents #72, which had a lot of captions and text that needed to be removed and replaced with background elements first.  Sometimes even the simple looking covers can be a challenge to create.

Sgt. Fury and Blackhawk

Blackhawk is another one of those DCEU projects that was announced, and seemingly forgotten.  None other than legendary director Stephen Spielberg was named as director, which got me very interested... and then nothing.  I haven't heard a peep about this movie since that initial announcement, I hope that it is still on.

Hawkgirl and Photon

The Shadow Thief has always been one of my favorite villains.  He struck me as creepy and scary in a good way with his unique power set and appearance.  I first discovered him as a member of The Injustice Gang in Justice League of America, and I soon devoured his adventures as illustrated by the great Joe Kubert in the pages of Hawkman.  Maybe with Nth Metal becoming a major plot point in the DC books thses days, the Hawks and their arch enemy will be back at the forefront once again soon.
