Jimmy Olsen and Doctor Strange

We saw Doctor Strange's frustration working with Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and I think there would be similar friction if he had to team up with Jimmy Olsen as well. Jimmy is no fool, but he does seem to be a magnet for chaos.  This could be an entertaining story to read.

Batman and Wile E. Coyote

I'm betting that ACME and Ace Chemicals are both run by the same company.  It's about time that the Dark Knight and the Roadrunner's nemesis joined forces to put them out of business.  I know it's a tale that I would get a kick out o reading.

The Falcon and Vixen

Their earliest looks might not have stuck around for long, but these two were heroes from the start.  It might be fun to read a tale of them meeting up just as both of their heroic careers were beginning.

Green Lantern and Ahsoka

I'm not sure when we will see Ahsoka in live action again.  I thought that her Disney+ series was planned for more than one season, but have not heard about production starting back up.  The Mandalorian and Grogu movie has reportedly begun moving forward, however.  Perhaps she will show up there.

Iron Fist and Judo Master

Judo Master has been long overdue for an appearance on the blog.  The truth is, I don't think I've read much of his adventures at all.  Maybe as one of a bunch of Charlton characters, but certainly nothing that featured him solo.

Deadman Vs. Aliens

Could Boston Brand possess a Xenomorph? I'm not sure what the results would be, but it would be an interesting situation to watch play itself out.  Especially when it looks like he intends to go after the big momma.

Legion of Super-Heroes and Warlock

My only real nitpick with Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 was the portrayal of Adam Warlock.  The man-child thing is a bit overdone in the movies, and he didn't really remind me of the character I read in the comics.  Hopefully he will be depicted a bit more faithfully if he should appear un the future.

Silver Surfer and the Challengers of the Unknown

What's more unknown to The Challs than what lies beyond solar system?  I think it might be fun to read a tale where they are truly thrust out of their element.

The Flash enters The Laff-A-Lympics

I'm going to have to see if there are any episodes of Laff-A-Lympics or Wacky Races around to watch.  I haven's seen an episode of either since they originally aired, but I remember getting a real kick out of the cartoon crossover show.  Maybe the new Me TV Toons channel will play them (if Comcast ever carries it).

Super Friends and Spider-Man

Miles Morales has been seen traversing the multiverse into many realities, some quite familiar to long time comic fans.  It would be cool to see him wall crawl his way into the Saturday Morning Hanna-Barbera universe.  I'd love to see his reaction to these family-friendly heroes.

The Super Friends met the Peter Parker Spidey (and his Amazing Friends) in STF #1299...

Galactus and Star Trek

If there's a group that could successfully negotiate with the World-Devourer, it's got to be Kirk and company, right?  It would be entertaining to see them give it a try, anyway.  Let's hope that Spock has something worthy of trade!

Galactus encountered the Next Generation of Star Trek in STF #4112...

Superman and Ghost Rider

There was a lot of prep work required on the background of this cover, before I could add the heroes in.  Here is a look at the behind the scenes progress:

Magnus Vs. The Terminator in: "Rage Against the Machines!"

Magnus first faced off against The Terminators in STF #1882, and I felt that a confrontation this epic was worthy of a follow up tale.

First Prey for Predator and (from the reviews I have read) now Alien: Romulus,  have brought worthy sequels back to long-running franchises after a series of misfires.  Can The Terminator hope for the same - or has too much damage already been done?

Crusaders of Camelot

This is a team concept that I have had rattling around in my brain for a while, and I am glad that I finally got around to putting it together.  It would be cool to see the adventures of a superhero team from the Middle Ages.

Batgirl & Robin Vs. The Sinister Six

With Kraven about to make his cinematic debut, we will finally have seen live action versions of all of the Sinister Six.  Spider-Man: No Way Home came kind of close, but it's too bad we never got a proper Spidey Vs. The Sinister Six Movie.

Dick Grayson will face off against a slightly different Six lineup once he transitions into Nightwing, as seen in STF #3738...

Peacemaker and War Machine

This is another cover suggested by Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics historian and Patron of this Blog.  I realized I hadn't used Peacemaker at all on a cover yet, and War Machine seemed like a perfect partner to make for an interesting story.  Thanks, Marc!

The Creeper Vs. Carnage

I think that this would be an interesting match up.  Would Jack Ryder's agility and enhanced strength and healing be enough to take on the raw power of a symbiote?

Hourman meets Giant-Man and The Wasp

Hourman originally met this pair in a back-up tale in STF #3408, and I thought that tale deserved a full length sequel. Plus, it gave me the excuse to use an Olympics related title.

Doom Patrol and Captain Marvel

To think that we could have gotten a scene of the Classic Mar-Vell or a properly realized Supreme Intelligence in the Captain Marvel movie - and we were given a tired looking Annette Bening as a substitute for both.  What a missed opportunity. I do think that Bening is a talented actress, but I have to believe that's not what fans were hoping for.

Infinity Inc. and Captain America

Cap is used to working with the next generation of heroes, so it would only be a matter of time before he crossed paths with the Infinitors. He's met Solomon Grundy a couple of times on the blog - first a solo match up in STF #1430, and then an adventure with The Invaders in STF #3623...

Gorilla Grodd on the Planet of the Apes

I think that I may have seen this match up suggested in the comments, and it really is a natural one.  I had to look up to see which intelligent ape civilization came first, PotA or Gorilla City.  To my surprise, the comic book version debuted first, in 1959, while Pierre Boulle's Apes novel came out on 1963.  I wonder if Boulle was a comics fan?

Son of Satan in the House of Mystery

There aren't a lot of places that would welcome Daimon Hellstrom as a tenant, but I think that The House of Mystery might just be one of them.  It would be interesting to see just what led him there, and what goes down once he spends the night.

Spider-Man and The Guardian

We've seen Peter Parker put his smarts to work for various companies over the years, so why not Cadmus Laboratories?  I think its a simple set up that could lead to all kinds of fun stories.

All-Star Squadron and The Invaders (And more!)

When I was a kid, the 100-Page comics and Annuals that featured classic reprints were my introduction to the characters and creators of the Golden Age. It was cool to see the building blocks of the heroes and stories that I had been currently enjoying.  I thought that I would pay homage to those specials for this Anniversary Issue.

Here are the full sized images of each story:

Code Name: Gravedigger and Sgt. Fury

I was mostly a fan of superhero comics when I was a kid, but my admiration for Joe Kubert's artwork got me reading other genres like war comics and adventures with Tarzan. I still remember the tabloid sized Stories from the Bible DC Special that introduced me to his amazing illustrations.

Coming tomorrow: STF#4500!

The Avengers and Kamandi

Look, I have the same questions about how Kamandi was able to get the upper hand here that Chronos has.  But that's just what would have made me pick this issue up off of the shelves - just to see what shenanigans that Kang is up to this time around.

Firestorm and Ant-Man

Firestorm is used to working with science based partners, so I think that this would be a natural and fun team-up. Plus, I think that they just look cool together!

Dial "H" For Hero and Madrox (as 4 Famous Co-Stars!)

When Comics' Legend Tony Isabella (also a Patron of this blog), suggested a cover featuring Jamie Madrox using his duplicates to create an army of heroes to take on a larger threat, I wasn't sure quite how I would be able to pull it off.  It was such a fun concept that I had to try, though. Four heroes isn't an army, but at least it's a start. Thanks, Tony!

Deadman and Thor (Vs. Loki!)

Deadman and Thor first appeared together way back in STF #90, an MS Paint cover from 2012, so it was high time to revisit this pairing.  Adding in Loki as the villain and Jack Kirby as the artist only sweetens the deal.

Batman goes Primal

I have been a fan of the animation of Genndy Tartakovsky though his work on Samurai Jack, Clone Wars and more, so I was excited when I heard of his plans for Primal.  The animated series did not disappoint, I absolutely loved every episode.  It is easily my favorite non-superhero animated show of all time, and I give it the highest recommendation.

The Spectre and Agatha Harkness

The trailer for Agatha All Along has dropped, and I'm not sure what to make of it.  While I quite enjoyed Kathryn Hahn's portrayal of  Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, I don't know if she warranted a mini-series of her own.  We'll see if the series gains any traction or if it will be another Echo-style spinoff that is forgotten as soon as it airs.
