This could be an interesting match up.  Moon Knight's shifting personalities might keep even Edward Nigma guessing at his next move.

Moon Knight and The Elongated Man in: "The Tall-Tail Two!"

 

This marks the 13th appearance of the MK/EM Team on the blog, and maybe that unlucky number is an indication of the trouble they'll be facing no that there's a new crazy pairing in town.  Now that I see them together, I think an Elongated Man battle with Stilt-Man would be cool to see.  All that stretching around extended legs is sure to make for some fun visuals.

Black Panther and Black Adam

 

Black Adam had a decent opening but did not break any records (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever just may, though), so Dwayne Johnson's hope to reshape the hierarchy of the DC Universe has probably hit a snag.  Now it's been reported that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been put in charge of DC Films, and will be shepherding all Movie, TV and animation projects for at least the next four years.  I'd say everything is truly up in the air again until we hear some new announcements.

She-Hulk and the Female Furies

I thought that it was hilarious when Ed Asner voiced the animated version of Granny Goodness, Genius casting.  Still, who could play her in live action, if the New Gods movie ever gets made?  I've heard names like Oprah Winfrey and Kathy Bates mentioned, and I can see both.  For me, I think that Margo Martindale would be perfect in the role.

The Legion of Super-Heroes Vs. The Avengers

I thought I would present one giant story for this Anniversary Issue.  I previously featured these two teams meeting in STF #1300, but I wanted to revisit the concept in a bigger way.  So, you see the match-ups presented here - who do you think comes out on top when these super-groups clash?

Sub-Mariner and The Phantom

It certainly seems that I am not alone in wanting Namor to come to the MCU.  A quick mention of "undersea explosions" in Avengers: Endgame has led many excited reviewers to speculate that the groundwork for Sub-Mariner has already been laid.  Alas, the Russo Brothers have stated that there was no hidden meaning in that dialogue.  Still, it shows how much interest there is to bringing the Avenging Son to life, hopefully Marvel is taking notice.

Vixen and The Phantom in "international Incident!"

It will be interesting to see the new incarnation of Vixen on the upcoming season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.  I really liked Vixen's appearance on Arrow last season, it was very faithful to the comics and her powers were visualized well.  I realize that this will be a new character, but I hope they don't stray too far from what worked with the Mari McCabe version.

The Vixen and The Phantom

I thought that The Vixen's first live action appearance on Arrow a few weeks back was just about perfect.  The DC TV Universe can make some puzzling alterations to the characters they include from time to time, but this was an example where they got it just right.  From casting to costume to the use and visualization of her powers, it was just as if Mari McCabe stepped right out of the comics.  Out of all the characters introduced so far, I think Vixen has the strongest spin-off potential. Let's get her on her own show or at least as a regular member of Legends of Tomorrow!

Aquaman and The Phantom

This is a crossover that I would have loved to have seen back in the day.  Jim Aparo was making a name for himself with his amazing depiction of The Phantom for Charlton Comics when he moved over to DC Comics to take on Aquaman.  Those comics hold up just as well today as they did decades ago, due in no small part to Aparo's incredible artistry.

Task Force T

I pity the fool who wouldn't want to read the adventures of this group!  Personally I would be sold by the inclusion of Chaselon alone. Like being a sentient diamond with robotic limbs and a Green Lantern ring wasn't enough, he's got a mohawk to put his cool factor over the top!  No more jibba jabba! Here's my sixty cents!

The Phantom Vs. Aliens

H.R. Giger's  Alien is rightfully one of the all time classic monster designs,  There are so many great elements to it, from the spiked tail, to the way it can curl up and hide in the ceiling, to the double set of teeth.  What really put it over the top for me, though was what he didn't include.  The lack of any discernible eyes was a very interesting choice, and really freaked me out.  It just adds another element of fear when you don't know where the creature is looking.
