Ronald McDonald and The Joker

This was another suggestion from comics' historian and Patron of this Blog, Marc Tyler Nobleman that was too crazy not to to give a try.  Be careful who you choose to promote your fast food chain!

Doc Samson and 4 Famous Co-Stars

I'd like to be a fly on the wall for this therapy session.  Hopefully they all find some inner peace.

Doc Samson first met Batman in one of my very first covers, an MS Paint effort from the first few days of the blog...

Calvin and Hobbes meet The Demon

Sure, Calvin could have a dark side, but his heart was always in the right place.  Let's hope that Etrigan keeps an eye on him.

Roger Rabbit and Batman

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a thrill for me back in the day, watching cartoon characters from different companies crossing over with each other.  The only thing missing was a superhero appearance.  Sure it was too soon for Batman The Animated Series, but surely Max Fleischer's Superman could have done a fly by?

The IMProbables in: "Quarreling With Q!"

I wondered who could be a foil for a team as powerful as The IMProbables, and then it dawned on me.  Q has been long overdue for an appearance on this blog, and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to use him.  This issue would be 22 pages of pure chaos!

Fantastic Four and Amanda Waller

This is an example of where I had an image to use, but the printing quality on it was low. In those cases, I have to "recolor" through use of the clone stamp tool.  It can be time consuming, but it is a necessary step for a cohesive cover.  Wouldn't you know it, for this particular splash page, I did find a nice crisp clear image of it just a couple of days after I had completed the cover!  I could have saved myself a lot of time if I had found that sooner!  Here's a look at the behind the scenes progress:

Ghost Rider Vs. Skeletor (Round Two!)

These two first clashed in STF #2959, and I thought that is would be fun to revisit this rivalry. I'm not sure what I think about Jared Leto as Skeletor in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. He is a talented actor, but I did not care for his take on The Joker.  Hopefully his interpretation of this villain is more well received.

Batman Beyond and Space Ghost

This is a cartoon special that I would love to see.  These heroes have two simple yet amazing costume designs that are perfect for animation, and it would be glorious to see them together.  The Space Ghost appearance on Batman: The Brave and the Bold is one of the highlights of that series.

Huntress & Hawkeye (The Animated Series)

For this, the 13th appearance of the Huntress/Hawkeye team, I thought that I would give them the Saturday Morning cartoon treatment.  It looks like the FGG (Foreground Gun Guys) aren't to happy about that!

Daredevil and Batman in: "Bot Bout!"

Batman has met Matt Murdock more than once on this blog, but it dawned on me that he had yet to cross paths with the original Daredevil.  It was time to remedy that.

Spider-Woman and Batgirl in: "A Vile Visit From Mr. Universe!"

Spider-Woman and Batgirl met previously in STF #3879, but I thought it would be cool to see them in an animated adventure as well.  Who better to face off against them than STF's own Mr. Universe, making his 5th appearance.

Fantastic Four and The Authority

With The Engineer set to make an appearance in the upcoming Superman movie, it looks like James Gunn is serious about bringing the entire Authority team to the big screen. I do remember really the first few years of stories in their original comic. They were pretty much on their own though, it will be interesting to see how they fit into a world populated with DC heroes.

Green Lantern and Speed Racer

John Stewart and Hal Jordan have both been cast for the HBO/MAX Lanterns series, filming should be underway soon.  It has been described as a True Detective-type series, but I hope that the more fantastical, space-related elements of the Green Lantern mythos aren't pushed too much into the background.  I also hope that Hal Jordan isn't killed off by the end of it, which I suspect may be the case given the age difference between the actors.

The Flash enters The Laff-A-Lympics

I'm going to have to see if there are any episodes of Laff-A-Lympics or Wacky Races around to watch.  I haven's seen an episode of either since they originally aired, but I remember getting a real kick out of the cartoon crossover show.  Maybe the new Me TV Toons channel will play them (if Comcast ever carries it).

Captain Hero Vs. Condiment King

For some reason, I have had multiple requests for this one-shot joke villain from Batman: The Animated Series to appear.  Well - here you go! There was one hero that I instantly thought of for him to face off against.

Plastic Man and The Mask

Putting these personalities and powers sets side by side would make for a visually interesting and humorous story. This is another cover in which I had to do some character removal before I could do any character addition.  Here's a look behind the scenes:

Wildcat and The Cat

Regular STF visitors know that Tigra is Wildcat's niece, as outlined in STF #2551.  They first shared a cover on STF #1265, and last appeared together in the middle of a 7-part tale in STF #3667... I thought that for this time I would present a story that took place while Greer Grant Nelson was still in her original Cat identity.

Clayface and Mysterio

Two villains with theatrical backgrounds such as these guys are naturally going to cross paths at some point.  I can only imagine what kind of trouble that they would be able to cook up together.

Darkwing Duck and Duck Dodgers

Doctor Doom faced off against Bugs Bunny in STF 4120, so it was only a matter of time before that envious Daffy had to take his own crack at the Lord of Latveria.  At least he had the good sense to bring along Darkwing Duck to help out.

The Damned (The Animated Series!)

I thought that it was time that one of STF's earliest teams received their own cartoon show.  I'm guessing that this on might have a hard time getting past the network censors, though!  This is the Third appearance of The Damned on this blog - They were last seen facing Satan's retribution in STF #1890, and first appeared way back in STF #176...
