Kamandi Vs. Galactus

These two Kirby creations are may be wildly different, but it might be cool to see them in a story together.  Would Earth still be a filling snack for Galactus even after the great disaster?  And just what secret is waiting for Kamandi in the Cavern of Lost Souls?  The answers are just 60 cents away!

Thor and The Metal Men

Every so often a creative team tries to update and modernize the Metal Men, sometimes giving them edgy, extreme redesigns.  They always seem to return to their original attitudes and appearances, and for me that is a good thing.  Those nutty robots were perfectly realized right from their first appearance.

Mon-El and Gladiator

I thought that this would be a suitable set of match ups as these are a couple of pairs of characters that mirror each other.  When I found similar poses, the concept wrote itself.

Mongul here is by  the incredibly talented Kevin Maguire.  I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of original pages by him several years back, one being a pencils-only page which I really like:

Tigra and Cat-Man (Part 5 of 7)

As we hit Part 5 in our week-long tale, and it looks like Tigra wants to bring the team back together again - but why would she after all that's happened?  And just who is this new master that she mentions?  There's more to this story, so make sure you come back tomorrow for chapter 6!

Supergirl and Cloak and Dagger

I'm looking forward to the returns of both Cloak & Dagger and Supergirl in the upcoming TV season.   Supergirl will I am sure be a pivotal part of the Crisis Crossover story line - we all remember what happened to the character in the original comic series.  Cloak and Dagger really seemed to be embracing their heroic roles at the end of their second season, so it will be cool to see what comes next.

Zatanna Vs. Loki

There's one thing from the Marvel Phase Four announcements that I haven't seen anyone bring up yet.  When they did the presentation for the Loki series on Disney+, I found the logo they used for the show to be very interesting. Each letter in the villain's name has a vastly different look and font than the others.  This is a strong indication to me that we can expect many different iterations of the character to appear on the series.  Maybe this is where audiences will first begin to explore the multiverse, setting up the next Dr. Strange movie.

Black Panther and The Justice League of America in: "Wakanda's Most Wanted!"

It will be interesting to see where Black Panther goes in the movies after the events of Avengers: Endgame

SPOILERS FOLLOW...

With his missing for five years, what will his standing as King of Wakanda be?  Certainly new leadership was formed in his absence.  And speaking of leadership, he seems to be at the top of the list to lead The Avengers going forward, given his financial resources, diplomatic abilities, and sister's technical know-how. There are lots of story possibilities.

Blue Beetle and War Machine

Like many, I did not like it when Blue Beetle Ted Kord was killed off, even if I did like his replacement.  I am glad that DC eventually came to their senses and brought Kord back, as a mentor to the younger Beetle.  It looks like similar things are happening with Ray Palmer sharing the Atom Identity with Ryan Choi.

Hoppy The Marvel Bunny and Spider-Ham

I think that Hoppy the Marvel Bunny is the first cartoon animal-type hero that I ever saw cross over with the "real" superheroes.  It was a two-parter in DC Comics Presents in which Superman teamed up with the entire Shazam Family, and Hoppy came in to save the day at the end.  It worked out better than I thought, and I still remember that tale fondly today.  Spider-Ham has made the leap as well recently, teaming with other versions of Spider-Man on more than one occasion.

Wonder Woman and The Black Widow

I am very glad that Wonder Woman will be a period piece film.  It serves to add to the mythic aspect of the character and I have enjoyed the superhero movies set in different decades that I have seen like Captain America and the recent X-Men films.  It will be interesting to see how much contemporary action, if any, she sees in the film.  I have heard rumors of a Batman appearance so there may be at least a little.

Justice League of America and Doc Samson

I see that Marvel is once again going to be introducing an all-new Hulk (latest rumors having Amadeus Cho being the one who transforms).  This might have been exciting news for me a few decades ago, but Marvel has gone to this well a few too many times.  I think I liked it better when the only spin-offs were She-Hulk and Doc Samson.  Old Jade Jaws seemed a little more unique then.

You would think that Batman would have warned his JLA teammates not to consult with Doc Samson, considering how his solo session went.

Green Lantern and Captain Marvel

I have to believe that if these two shared a common universe, they would be crossing paths all the time.  That is of course, if they were both alive - as each has had a prominent death depicted in the comics.  Hal Jordan was eventually revived and given a second chance.  He went on to gain more popularity than ever, and I still hold out hope that Mar-Vell will be given a similar opportunity to shine again one of these days.
