We need more Chance Falconer. If not a Leave it to Chance comic revival, then how about and animated or even live action series? I can see this property being the next big bingable Netflix series.

Deadman and Chance Falconer
I mentioned yesterday how Phantom Stranger's shadow should be a key element in bringing him to the big screen, and for Deadman I think his voice will be very important. If an actor with a distinct way of speaking is hired, then it gives the other actors that play roles in which they get possessed by him something to perform with. This was the angle that was taken for Deadman's appearance in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, and it worked very well there.

Jonny Quest and Chance Falconer
I'm still holding out hope for new adventures of Leave it to Chance some day. I loved what James Robinson and Paul Smith did with that series and always have wanted to see more. It may seem like a long shot but if DC can bring back Jonny Quest and a host of other Hanna-Barbera characters and even team them up with heroes of the DCU, then anything can happen, right?

Chance Falconer and Doctor Strange
The first full trailer for Doctor Strange has arrived, and it looks as though it will deliver what has been promised: A Marvel film unlike any other that has come before it. Indeed, the magical element is a brand new world for their films to begin exploring - even if much of the mystical moments in the trailer looked Inception-inspired. The one shot that really sold me on the film is of Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character putting his cape on in his own signature manner. It looks like a sequence right out of the comics.

Chance Falconer and Tintin
I'd love to see Leave it to Chance make a return. James Robinson and Paul Smith's tale of Chance Falconer trying to fit into the footsteps of her powerful mage of a father as an exciting read with dynamic visuals. Even if they are too busy to produce new issues, it is a perfect property for adapting into animation or live action.

Chance Falconer and Kitty Pryde
Leave it to Chance was one of my favorite series ever. James Robinson and Paul Smith presented tales of a master magician's daughter learning the ways of the mystical world. Aside from her daring and pluck, Chance Falconer has a pet dragon. I think this makes her a natural for an adventure with Kitty, I'm sure they would have plenty to discuss.

Batman and Leave it to Chance
James Robinson and Paul Smith's Leave it to Chance was one of my favorite new series to come out in the past few decades. It had it all, engaging characters, cool story lines and gorgeous artwork. It also had a strong young female lead, something that comics need a lot more of. Chance Falconer is the daughter of a powerful mage and gets into all sorts of adventures while trying to prove that she is worthy of following in his footsteps. When it came time to introduce my nieces to the world of comic books, this was the character I decided to show them first. I don't think it flew off the shelves and that is unfortunate because I was really hoping to see some more tales featuring Chance and her pet dragon. Still, it was critically acclaimed and I hope someday that Robinson and Smith decide to return to the property. It's also perfectly suited for film or animation, so maybe it could find more success in another medium.
