The Creeper Vs. The Prowler

One of the many aspects of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse that I really enjoyed was the use of The Prowler, a cool character that I did not expect to show up in a movie.  The way he was depicted made him even cooler, I loved the way the animators moved him around on the screen.  Rumor has it that for the upcoming sequel, Spidey villain C-lister The Spot will be a main antagonist.   He is a very fun character visually, and I hope he does indeed appear because I'm betting that there will be some great and inventive action scenes using his unique power set.

Catwoman and The Prowler

 

Rumor has it that not only is Michael Keaton expected to reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming Flash movie and beyond, but that Warner Bros is trying to get Michelle Pfeiffer to return as Selina Kyle as well.  Batman Returns may have had some major script issues, but there is no denying the chemistry the two actors had  together (indeed, they had been in a real life relationship at some point before filming).  I hope this casting pans out, I would love to see them side by side on the big screen again.

The Prowler and Batman

I really loved the depiction of The Prowler in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.  From his design, to the way he moved, to Mahershala Ali's vocal performance, he was a standout character in a movie full of scene-stealers.  Hopefully we will see Donald Glover's Aaron Davis suit up as the Prowler in a live action Spidey flick one of these days.

The Prowler Joins The Secret Society of Super-Villains

The Prowler was teased with the appearance of Donald Glover as his alter ego Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming.  He was seen to be trying to purchase high tech equipment, so the seeds have been set for a full costumed appearance in the future.  A deleted scene had him mentioning his nephew Miles, so perhaps he will be back in an Ultimate Spider-Man movie down the line instead.
