It's always good to get a second opinion, even in the world of super-heroics! Doctor Strange has met with these JSA Doctors in other STF tales:
Strange and Fate shared a two-part tale in STF #1156, where they sought help from the TMNT in STF #1157, they fought a Rat-God in STF #549 , and first met in STF #30,...
Strange and Mid-Nite met in STF #2721...

The first time Dr. Strange and Dr. Fate meet....
Dr. Fate: "Some would say that it's strange that we've never met before."
Dr. Strange: "Others might say that it's fate."
Then the villain swoops in to say, "Or is it Destiny?"
Why isn't Mr Freeze known as Doctor Freeze?
Given his origin, Anon (officially adopted, by DC, from the WB-animated episode back in the Nineties), he was no doubt framed as the sole responsible party for the industrial accident that mutated him. Hence, the post-facto revocation of his doctorate.*
*Similar to what happened with all of Bill Cosby's honorifics.
Too bad you still require the disclaimer. It left no room for the ideal title: "Doctors In The House!"
It's great to see Strange and Mid-Nite together again. I'd love to see more, combining their medical expertise with their respective powers. Maybe in some future issue they can help out Hellboy or Bloodshot.
@Anon@8:58: Dr. Strange in the House of Mystery would be "A Doctor in the House." (And @Ross: why has that not happened yet?!?) Similar to how Sherlock Holmes in the House of Mystery would be "House and Holmes."
@Ross: How about a cover featuring Nightcrawler and Ambush Bug? Talk about your basic "teleport spam"...!
Fighting Doctor Doom and Doctor Octopus?
@Bob: or, better yet, Deadpool and Ambush Bug vs. the Superior Man-Spider!*
*As in, the mind of Dr. Octopussycat o'Nine Tails in the body of Webster Weaver.
They need the AMA - American Mystic Association. Consult with Doctor Doom maybe? Or Dr. Manhattan if you want a more sciencey approach?
Little Orphan Annie-itus!
Actually, Kent Nelson got his medical degree in More Fun Comics #85 (Nov '42). He practiced up until World's Finest #208 (Jan '71), where he was shown in an operating room. So all three of today's Doctors are licensed surgeons.
Whereas the author of the sci-fi classic "Killdozer" is a licensed Sturgeon!
Where's Doctor Who?
I'm sure the Doctor would be at the forefront of an all "Doctors" team.
@Other Bob: Am I right in my recollection that these three, Charles' two successors, and our two favorite psychiatrists (Samson and Quinzel) are the only superheroic MDs in comics?
Thor used to have a doctor secret identity. I'd also list Ratchet and First Aid as doctors thanks to the Transformers comics but I'm a bit weird. I can't think of many non-scientist doctors in the Big 2 superhero comics, though I'm sure there's a few in forgotten or indie/self published comics.
It was a Strange Nite for Fate. Threads were being pulled but nothing could show who.
The Doctor was out and about but filled with doubt. Good thing he didn't pout. Why did he keep having the feeling it was important to get Dr StrangeFate involved?
@Richard: making a house call on Gallifrey?
@Anonymous: *GROOOOOOOOOOOOOAN!*
But where are : Doctor Solar Man Of The Atom, Doctor Strange Fate (Amalgam), Doctor Light (Early 1990's Superheroine DC), Doc Samson, Doc Savage (Gen-Xers Sing it with me!: Doc Savage Doc Savage Thank The Lord He's Here!{Doc Savage The Man Of Bronze Motion Picture Theme Theme 1975. The Same Year We All Went Ape At The Drive-In})? Not to mention Doctor Zachary Smith (Innovation early 1990's) and Night Nurse (Marvel 1970's 1980's 1990's)
"Knight Nurse" is probably tending to the medical needs of Katana and the Thing's opponents. And Ross is kind of allergic to using the canonical DC/Marvel Amalgam characters.
@Other Other Bob: Hmm... Thor hasn't been Dr. Don Blake for ages, so you might be right.
@Both Bobs: he and his long-lost brother Adam are still partying hearty in Valhalla.
@Carycomic: Oooh... silver age Thor and Captain Comet, the Blake boys. That's a pairing I never noticed.
@BKM: Night Nurse? She's sittin' on the doc of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh......She's just sittin' on the doc of the bay.
Which doc? Witch doc. very compelling. Spellbinding.
@Mr. Buethe: see STF #'s 2292 and 2977.
"Still on sale for only $0.60 cents!
Charmed, I'm sure.
Well, out of all of these MDs, I think that Dr. Strange is probably the most effective all around. I guess that would make him a doc without a peer. #BadPunNoCookie
I'm sure Dr. Crusher and Lt. Wharf would second that opinion. ;-)
@Detective Tobor Doc Doc Doc 'N' Roll High School FUN FUN!
Calling Doctor Bombay Come in come in Right Away! Sargon The Sur-Ger-Run!
"Pads his bills just for fun?"
