Captain America and Green Lantern in: "Crisis: Classified!"

 

Cap previously teamed with the Hal Jordan GL in STF #2862, and met the Alan Scott GL in STF #372 and then again in STF #719... I felt it was time that he shared an adventure with John Stewart (hopefully to be cast soon for James Gunn's DCU).  I'm sure they would get along with their military backgrounds, and Gil Kane on the art chores would make it a beautiful read.

Nightwing and Gambit

 

When Robert Jackson, a Patron of this blog, suggested this pairing, I was surprised that I had not gotten to it yet, it really does seem like a natural.  So, thank you, Robert!  There's lots of speculation as to who will play each character on the big screen, but I think it will be some time before we see either.  Dick Grayson needs at least one movie as Robin before changing his super-heroic identity if they want to do his story justice, and while Gambit is cool, he certainly should not be among the first group of X-Men introduced (though I do like the suggestion of Austin Butler for the role).  

Sgt. Fury and The Haunted Tank

 

The fact that DC Animation is finally releasing a period piece Justice Society movie has me hopeful that we will finally see some more of DC Comic's war stars show up either in that or a future project.  Imagine a animated wartime tale featuring Sgt. Rock & Easy Company, The Haunted Tank, The Unknown Soldier, Mademoiselle Marie, The Losers and so on.  I'm not sure how commercially viable it would be, but I would definitely check it out!

Sgt. Fury and Blackhawk

Blackhawk is another one of those DCEU projects that was announced, and seemingly forgotten.  None other than legendary director Stephen Spielberg was named as director, which got me very interested... and then nothing.  I haven't heard a peep about this movie since that initial announcement, I hope that it is still on.

Howard the Duck and Mork

I still remember Robin Williams' first appearance as Mork on a episode of Happy Days.  It made a big impression and I distinctly recall the kids at school discussing it at school the next morning.  I was at the right age to really get a kick out of his antics, so I thought that it was cool to see him cast as Popeye a few years later.  He and Shelley DuVall really embodied their roles in that one, still two of my favorite comic book character performances ever.

Sgt. Rock and Sgt. Fury

I already had Sgt. Rock pair up with Nick Fury from his S.H.I.E.L.D. era, but this is the meeting that I would really like to see.  I can imagine them freeing their respective companies and the final act being a huge free for all against the forces of H.Y.D.R.A. and The Iron Major... all culminating in an arm wrestling match between  Bulldozer and Dum Dum Dugan. Now that's a comic that will put hair on your chest!
