Amazing Man and Captain America

 

The boots alone would make this a great team-up.  It's surprising how many heroes had those buccaneer boots back in the day.  They always looked a bit heavy and tough to run in, but I guess they provided decent calf protection.  Plus, they looked cool - and isn't that what's really important in a superhero costume?

These two will eventually join forces in The A-Listers...

Amazing Man and Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends

 

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends was a favorite show of mine, but I have to admit it was kind of frustrating.  After an initial run of episodes, it went into repeats for a good long time.  New episodes after that seemed to be quite few and far between.  It seemed every time the show came on it was that same "Swarm" episode!  I'm glad that these days I can just go on Disney+ and just pick out which episode I want to watch.

The A-Listers

 

Marc Tyler Nobleman,  comics historian and Patron of this Blog, suggested I make an All-New A-Team cover featuring heroes with an "A" Symbol.  I hope he doesn't mind that I gave this new group a name of their own - I didn't want to incur the wrath of B.A. Baracus!  Thanks, Marc!

All-Star Squadron and The Inhumans

I am glad that the original Justice Society members are poised for some kind of a return due to DC Rebirth.  I hope that also means that the extended cast of characters from All-Star Squadron will make some appearances as well.  Liberty Belle, Amazing man, Commander Steel, Tarantula and many others may not have been official JSA members, but I always enjoyed following their adventures.

Amazing Man Vs. Absorbing Man

I loved when Amazing Man was introduced in the pages of All-Star Squadron. I always thought that The Absorbing Man had one of the coolest power sets and it was great to see a hero with similar abilities.  There have been a couple of attempts to revive the character in modern times with new versions, but they haven't really stuck.  Hopefully that won't dissuade writers from trying again because I think that Will Everett still has a lot of untapped potential.
