Robin Vs. Morbius

I'm not sure what kinds of rules there are against vampires in children's animation, but Morbius did not drink blood in the 90's Spider-Man animated series.  Instead they depicted him feeding on human plasma through circular growths on the palms of his hands.  For me, that seemed grosser than biting someone's neck, but I suppose the producers' thinking was that they didn't want kids running around taking chomps out of each other to emulate him.

The Avengers Vs. Doomsday

Doomsday pretty much took out the entire JLA before going one on one with Superman.  Would The Avengers have fared any better?  I'm not sure, but I would definitely want to read about the battle!  I guess it would all depend upon the roster.

Silver Surfer Vs. The Anti-Monitor

After I had The Anti-Monitor and Galactus battle in STF #1845, I thought it would only be natural for Norrin Radd to get into the fray. Would the promise of his home planet's survival be enough to turn the Surfer to his side?  The answer is just 60 cents away!

Spectre and Wolverine in: "Legacy of Vengeance!"

This cover serves as a sequel to STF #1774, when these two first crossed paths. I can imagine Jim Corrigan finding a kinship with the savage yet heroic Logan.  It's a little harder to imagine what Wolverine actually as the Spectre would be like, but it would be fun to find out!

I am always happy to include the artwork of the amazing Art Adams.  I was able to purchase this cool Dr. Doom sketch of his many years ago:

Adam Strange and Beta Ray Bill

Thor: Love and Thunder is supposed to start filming this week, and we still have no confirmation on whether Beta Ray Bill will show up.  It seems like a jam packed movie already with Jane Foster, Gorr The God Butcher, Valkyrie and the Guardians of the Galaxy already in the mix, would there even be room?  I imagine he would be a CGI creation, so his inclusion would be easy to keep under wraps.  Maybe we will be pleasantly surprised.

Spider-Girl and Robin

Here are two characters that were originally intended to appear once, but were so popular that their stories continued.  First appearing in an issue of What If? and an Elseworld story, they were considered out of continuity.  Spider-Girl went on to her own series and Carrie was featured in two sequels to The dark Knight.  Now, both Marvel and DC are really embracing their multiverse characters, so I am sure that we haven't seen the last of them yet!

Black Panther and Swamp Thing in: "The Monarch and The Muck Monster!"

The DC Streaming service just doesn't have enough new material to warrant a subscription from me yet.  The series that has most intrigued me, however, is the one season and out Swamp Thing.  I have been considering just renting it separately.  So I will put the question out there - is it worth it?  Has anyone been able to watch the complete run and give a review?

These two first met in STF #2470...

Wildcat and The X-Men

I have mentioned before that classic Brave and The Bold writer and creator of Metamorpho Bob Haney is a huge inspiration for this blog, given his loose way with continuity and love for oddball team ups.  Haney also really liked to use Wildcat in his stories, and I have to confess that I do as wll.  There's something about Ted Grant that really appeals to me, so I hope folks don't mind that he shows up here as often as he does.

Beta Ray Bill and Swamp Thing

We have seen numerous characters assume the power of Thor by now, but when Beta Ray Bill first hit the scene, it was still a new and shocking development to see.  And boy, did he really hit the scene, making his debut by smashing his hammer through the logo of Thor #337 - it's no wonder they had to create a brand new logo for issue #338!  It was a great way to introduce a new character, and i have been a fan ever since.

Doctor Fate Vs. Doctor Doom

This is a match up that I could definitely see happening.  Doom is always searching for new sources of power, and I am sure he would want to make an attempt at harnessing the magic of Nabu.  Fate would not go down willingly of course.  I see the battle to be pretty evenly matched, especially if Doom has home turf advantage.
