Mars Attacks 4 Famous Co-Stars

An All-Martian issue was a request by Bob Greenwade, a Patron of this blog, among others. Gathering images, I was struck by the different personalities of all of these Mars characters.  Any tale combining them all would be sure to be filled with conflict!

Shazzan and The Thing

I remember seeing The Fantastic Four sharing the opening credits with Shazzan and other characters on Hanna Barbera's World of Super Adventure, and wishing that they could actually cross over with them in one of the actual cartoons.  The above pairing would have been at the top of my list to see - but just what do you think Ben Grimm would make a wish for?

Black Widow and Nemesis

I doubt I would ever read any Nemesis growing up if he wasn't the star of the back up feature in my favorite comic - The Brave and the Bold.  I'm glad I did though, It's a crackling spy adventure featuring a master of disguise, deftly illustrated by Dan Spiegel.  I've always wanted to see those back-ups collected into a TPB, but I don't know if the demand will ever be there for such a project.

Freddy Krueger Vs. Scooby Doo

When A Nightmare on Elm Street first hit the screens back in 1984, it was an instant with us kids in  high school.  Even as someone who never liked gory horror movies, I could see why.  Freddy Krueger had more humor and attitude than any movie monster that I had seen before.  He was as scary as Jason, The Wolf Man or Alien while chasing his victims, but he would also produce some killer one-liners while doing it.
