Hellboy and The Rocketeer

To make an effective face concealing helmet, you want an interesting design that looks interesting from every angle, and The Rocketeer is one of the best examples.  Doctor Fate has another great design - it is much simpler, but its reflective quality keeps it an interesting visual.  Darth Vader has another great design... I'd have to say that Kylo Ren missed the mark, though.

Indiana Jones Vs. Aliens

I have gained a great appreciation for the artwork of Dave Dorman.  His paintings of the characters from Alien, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, DC/Marvel Comics and more always seem to capture their iconic essences perfectly.  He has an amazing knack for likenesses as well as the ability to cinematically frame his scenes.

Jonah Hex and the Original Ghost Rider (Part 1)

I always liked the look of the original Ghost Rider (later called Night Rider, and Phantom Rider).  The all-white outfit complete with white mask, cape and hat riding on a white horse made for a great image and I am sure gave out a signal to bad guys that a there was a new force for good in the west.

Indiana Jones Vs. The Red Skull

Ever since the Red Skull alluded to the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark in Captain America The Firs Avenger by saying, "The fuhrer is too busy digging for trinkets in the desert", I have wanted to see this match up.  Of course Cap himself met Indy in a previous STF issue, so this can be considered a sequel to that one.

Man-Thing and Mr. Monster

I know that Man-Thing starred in a cheesy Sci Fi channel movie a few years back, but I would like to see him get another shot at live action.  Marvel was able to pull off Groot effectively in Guardians of the Galaxy, so there's no reason that they can't create a convincing CGI Man-Thing as well.  Where would he fit in though?  Perhaps a guest appearance in a Doctor Strange film would be the way to go.

Han Solo and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Here's another suggestion from Back Issue's Michael Eury, one that I thought was from left field until the last name connection was pointed out.  Then I just had to give it a shot.  I was very glad to hear that Harrison Ford is expected to make a full recovery following his recent plane crash.  The only thing I want to see him piloting from now in is the Millennium Falcon!

Indiana Jones and Captain America

We'll, I am off to see The Avengers in a few hours and from what I have read, it will not disappoint.  It will be great to see the characters interacting with one another, but the one story line I am really looking forward to seeing continued is Captain America's.  His film left off on such a cliffhanger moment, I really wanted to see how they handled Cap's transition into modern life. It'll be fun to see the follow through on that.

This pairing doesn't seem that crazy to me.  In fact, The Red Skull referred to Raiders of the Lost Arc in Captain America when he mentioned something about "the fuhrer digging for trinkets in the desert" - I loved that moment.
