Roger Rabbit and Batman

 

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a thrill for me back in the day, watching cartoon characters from different companies crossing over with each other.  The only thing missing was a superhero appearance.  Sure it was too soon for Batman The Animated Series, but surely Max Fleischer's Superman could have done a fly by?

Rocket stuck in a town filled with funny talking animals?  That sounds like a natural situation and one that could lead to plenty of action an laughs.  This is a tale definitely worth telling.

I've been getting requests for a bunny based super group pretty much since I started creating teams for STF.  I finally got around to it, and since rabbits are known for multiplying, this is easily my largest team to date.  At 10 members, they are a pretty powerful force - but I'm sure some people will still be  saying, "Hey, where's Thumper?" or something. Oh well, I hope that your favorite made the cut!

This cover poses an interesting question - would Buddy Baker be able to mimic the abilities of a toon?  I don't know if his powers extend that far, but it would be fun to find out!

 

Roger Rabbit and Dick Tracy

 

As a big fan of crossovers, I was of course a huge fan of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Not only was the combination of live action and animation done amazingly well (it still holds up today), the film was full of characters sharing the screen that I never expected to see.  Seeing Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny interact was cool, and watching ducks Daffy and Donald in a dueling piano battle was pure bliss.  I wonder if there will ever be a sequel.
