Moon Knight Vs. The Riddler

This could be an interesting match up.  Moon Knight's shifting personalities might keep even Edward Nigma guessing at his next move.

Elongated Man and Moon Knight (Vs. Mr. Universe!)

For the 15th appearance of the MK/EM Team, I figured I would put  them up against STF's greatest villain, Mr. Universe (making his 13th appearance).  Maybe they will be the two heroes to finally put this menace down for good!

Amanda Waller and The West Coast Avengers

I was expecting to see Amanda Waller appear at some point in Peacemaker season two, but she did not show up.  There was talk of a solo Waller series in the works, but I don't think that is happening any more.  Hopefully we will see Viola Davis back in the role in one of the DCU's upcoming projects.

Raven and Moon Knight

When Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics' historian and Patron of this Blog, suggested this pairing, I agreed that these heroes would be interesting to see work with one another.  Then I realized that using Raven's white outfit would make them go together visually as well.  Thanks, Marc!

Moon Knight and Vigilante

Something about the Adrian Chase Vigilante series must have really inspired artists.  Going over the covers, I am really impressed by the consistent quality of them.  Every illustrator brought their A-game, and I can remember the issues really standing out on the racks back in the early days of the direct market.

Moon Knight and Hawk & Dove

Being the youngest of 5 boys in my family, I knew all about battling brothers growing up.  So the bickering between siblings that I read in their adventures rung true to me.  At least they still worked together in the en. Poor Moon Knight had to bicker between his own multiple personalities.

Moon Knight Vs. Solomon Grundy

Moon Knight is no stranger to battling supernatural adversaries, so this match up seems right up his alley to me.  Who comes out as the victor here?  I guess it all depends on what incarnation of Grundy we are dealing with.

Moon Knight and Elongated Man (The Animated Series!)

The 14th appearance of the MK/EM Team already?  I'd say this pairing is ready for their cartoon debut!  After all, while both characters have shown up as cameos on different animated shows, neither has really had a chance to shine in that format yet.

Moon Knight and Starman

I'm kind of surprised I haven't had these two meet before, given their names.  The toughest part of this cover was extending Moon knight's Cape.  Here's a look behind the scenes.

Moon Knight Vs. Bane

He broke the Bat - but how would Bane fare against Moon Knight?  It would be an interesting battle, to be sure.  Perhaps the outcome would depend on which of MK's personalities was in control at the time?

Metamorpho and Moon Knight

These two heroes both have ties to Egypt, so it was only a matter of time before they crossed paths.  Too bad a new shocking villain team has been formed to zap their chances at a successful partnership!

Moon Knight Vs. Batman's Villains

Looks like Moon Knight is moving in on Batman's territory once again.  He's had some history of that on the blog, like when he and the Dark Knight swapped places in STF #318, or when he tried to win the Batcave in STF #683.  He's also faced off against the Joker in STF #2021 ,Two-Face in STF #1901, and Man-Bat in STF #968.

Moon Knight Vs. Deathstroke in: "Crashing the Assassination!"

I've been meaning to feature a cover that combines images by the amazing Bill Sienkiewicz for a while now.  Nothing ever quite came together because his unique style it tougher to blend than most, even with himself. I'm definitely not 100% satisfied with how this one came out, but I am glad I finally gave it a try.

Moon Knight first encountered Deathstroke in STF #2386...

Moon Knight and The Elongated Man in: "The Tall-Tail Two!"

This marks the 13th appearance of the MK/EM Team on the blog, and maybe that unlucky number is an indication of the trouble they'll be facing no that there's a new crazy pairing in town.  Now that I see them together, I think an Elongated Man battle with Stilt-Man would be cool to see.  All that stretching around extended legs is sure to make for some fun visuals.

Sandman and Moon Knight

It sounds as though Moon Knight will be getting another season on Disney+.  That's good news, as the series left off on a huge cliffhanger and I want to see where the Steven Grant/Marc Spector/Jake Lockley story goes.  I do hope to see more of Moon Knight in costume the next time around - and less blackout moments when the action begins!  It will be great to see Oscar Isaac return and hopefully we'll see his character interact with some other members of the MCU.

The Phantom Stranger and Moon Knight

The first teaser for Disney+ Moon Knight series impressed me enough that I decided not to seek out any further promotional material so that I can start watching it as spoiler free as possible.  Oscar Isaac looks great in the role and the costume(s) translated much better to live action than I was expecting.  Some reviews of the first few episodes have come in and so far they seem universally positive.  I look forward to the end of the month and diving into the show.

Apocalypse Vs. 4 Famous Co-Stars

This cover not only marks the 10th appearance of the Hawkeye/Huntress team, but also the 12th appearance of the Moon Knight/Elongated Man team.  I figured it was time for these two pairings to team up their partnerships. As I mentioned in an earlier comments section, STF #3600 will feature the first time that two team groups created for this blog will be clashing with each other.  After so many covers, Earth-STF continuity is beginning to fold in upon itself!

Moon Knight and Rose & The Thorn in: "The Darkest Impulse!"

Rose is of course referring to when these two heroes first crossed paths way back in STF #268...

The trailer for the Disney+ Moon Knight series looked pretty cool.  I was surprised at the accent that Oscar Isaac was using in the role, but I guess that's a good way to distinguish between his different personalities.  The quick bits of action were pretty impressive, they did a great job of translating his outfit to live action.  I can't wait to see Werewolf by Night and what other supernatural elements or characters that may be introduced in the series.

Moon Knight and The Elongated Man (Vs. The Joker!)

This marks the 11th appearance of The MK-EM Team.  Thank you for humoring my presenting this pairing from time to time.  It's a little self indulgent but for some reason I get a kick out of seeing them together.

We saw a few glimpses of the Moon Knight show at a recent Disney presentations, and while quick, they looked quite promising to me.  Hopefully we will get a trailer soon now that we are into 2022.

Moon Knight and the Joker previously clashed in STF #2021...

Moon Knight and The Elongated Man in: "Don't Deny the Reaper!"

This marks the 10th appearance of The MK/EM Team...

Moon Knight is one upcoming Disney+ series that I really have no idea about what it is going to be like.  There have been so many different takes on the hero in the comics that it's hard to say what angle they will go with.  Oscar Isaac is a great actor (he was my pick to play Hawkman), so I am sure he is up to whatever is asked of him in the role.  Ethan Hawke is set to play the main antagonist, but it hasn't been announced just which villain that will be, so I don't know what to expect there either.  Hopefully we'll get more of an idea as to how the series will take shape soon.
