Xena and Valkyrie

 

Fraiser joins the ever growing list of series that are coming back for new seasons after a run that concluded several years ago.  Some of these have been welcome and some should probably have not returned  Xena is one show that I would love to see revisited, at least as a streaming movie.  Lucy Lawless is still in good shape and it would be cool to see what has become of  The Warrior Princess as well as Gabrielle and Joxur.  It would be nice to see at least one episode with today's special effect capabilities, too.

Green Lantern and Daredevil in : "Return of the Men Without Fear!"

I thoroughly enjoyed Netflix' Defenders.  I thought it was a wise decision to keep it to eight episodes, as there was almost no filler and plenty of action.  It was great seeing the characters interact, especially Jessica Jones' reactions to everyone.  The series moves all the characters forward, but to me it felt mostly like a Daredevil continuation with guest stars (not a bad thing at all).  Sigourney Weaver was OK as a villain, but never felt quite menacing enough for me.  The main thing is that the show entertained and really makes me want to see where each individual series goes next (even Iron Fist, he is much improved here over his solo outing).  And that moment with Misty and Colleen at the end?  Bring on Daughters of the Dragon!

The Human Torch and Nightwing

Dick Grayson has dropped yet another superheroic identity and now operates undercover in a series titled simply Grayson, adding a new wrinkle to the career of comicdom's original sidekick.  The aging and replacing of Robins in the DCU has been one of the main problems when trying to streamline continuity, and I don't see that improving any time soon.  For the New 52 reboot, I think DC would perhaps been better served by de-aging Dick Grayson and returning him either to his Robin role or his first days as Nightwing, with a young Tim Drake  assuming the mantle.  They could still have reintroduced Jason or Damian eventually, but with all of Batman's partners running around simultaneously, it just clutters and dilutes the concept in my opinion - not to mention being anything but new reader friendly.
