Yes, Eel O'Brien also has a past working outside the law, but would this team made up of former members of the Masters of Evil tolerate his humor and antics? I'm not quite sure about that, but I bet it would make for an interesting read.

Terra Joins The Thunderbolts

 

Terra's arc in New Teen Titans was one of the best in comics, and her turn was as much of a surprise as it was when The Thunderbolts revealed themselves to be The Masters of Evil in disguise at the end of their first issue. Sadly, Terra's fate was sealed - maybe she would have had a more successful redemption story if she had joined the T-Bolts instead?

All-Star Squadron and Thunderbolts

Here are two teams perfect for a streaming series treatment.  Sure, I'd love to see both on the big screen, but they probably aren't considered high profile enough to get that chance.  The stories of second string heroes having to protect the home front during wartime or a group of villains masquerading as heroes and the effect that has on them have a lot of potential.  I can see both having success in a long form serial format.

Thunderbolts Vs. The Secret Society of Super-Villains

Ever since I was a kid watching The Legion of Doom on Super Friends, I have always liked seeing villains joining together to make teams of their own.  It's cool to see so much power amassed together and the conflicts that arise when a group of evil, self-serving personalities attempt to work as one.  The Thunderbolts took the concept one step further by having the villains pose as heroes, and explored the effect that had on all of them - making it one of my favorite Marvel series.

Thunderbolts and Godzilla

The main reason I would like to see The Masters of Evil face off against The Avengers in a future movie is so that the seeds can be set for a Thunderbolts film.  I loved the series featuring villains disguised as heroes and how that charade changes each of them.  It has all the elements for a very compelling and different type of comic book flick.

Batman and the Thunderbolts

Thunderbolts is one of Marvel's best concepts in the past few decades.  The original run by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley came out at a time when comics were all about gimmicks - lots of foil covers and variant issues to drum up interest.  The Thunderbolts had the best gimmick of all though, a great plot twist at the end of the first issue which gave the series a unique hook.  Having villains disguised as heroes led to a lot of fascinating character arcs, as each member of the team reacted differently to their newfound hero status.  Some embraced the new outlook and tried to stay on the path of the truly heroic, while others relished in the deceit and grew even more devious.  It was a great exploration of some characters that had been around in comics for many years, and it gave them all some real depth.  Busiek and Bagley proved once again that every character has growth potential when placed in interesting enough circumstances.
