Justice League of America and Machine Man

The JLA was known to be a team that is inclusive to robots, so I think they would welcome Aaron Stack with open arms.  That is, if  he is able to find out who replaced them!  I think that this could make for a fun tale.

Sabretooth Vs. Predator

Marvel and Predator rights are under that same company now, so this has a better chance of happening than most pairings on this blog.  It definitely would be a wild battle - Sabretooth never holds back, which would need to be the case in order for him to take on the galaxy's greatest hunter.

Jessica Jones, Jessica Rabbit and Jessica Fletcher

They may share a first name and a penchant for getting involved in mysteries, but that's where the similarities end with these three.  It might be fun to see them working together to solve a case.

Doctor Strange and Blue Beetle & Booster Gold

It looks like Beetle and Booster have found themselves in another fine mess.  Let's hope they can rescue Doc Strange and get back on his good side after their ill-fated attempt to join The Defenders way back in STF #165...

Saturn Girl and Saturnin Farandoul

This off-beat pairing came from a suggestion by Arcadia Berger, a Patron of this Blog. I had to admit that I was not familiar with the Jules Verne-inspired hero and it was tough to find a usable image of him.  I finally found a cover to an Italian paperback that would work, end here are the results.  Thanks for the idea and the patronage, Arcadia!

Elongated Man and The Falcon

Stilt-Man was always a goofy villain, but he did make for some really fun visuals.  It was interesting to see the artistic choices used to depict his action, with some extreme bird-eye and worm's eye views.  He and Elongated man tangled once before on the blog in STF #3897...

3-D Man and Triplicate Girl

One hero has the power of three men in one and the other can split herself into three.  I think that these two would get along, despite being centuries apart.

Wildcat and The Blonde Phantom (Vs. The Ringmaster!)

The Ringmaster and his Circus of Crime may never have hit A-Level super-villain status, but I always enjoyed when they would show up in the comics.  I don't know if we'll ever see them appear in the MCU.   Maybe an appearance on one of their streaming series might work. Maynard Tiboldt would certainly be a fun role for an actor to dive into

Wildcat first met the Blonde Phantom in STF #3826...

Richie Rich and The Watcher

Was it ever revealed exactly what made Richie Rich so wealthy?  Just what was his father's business after all? Goodness knows that family had plenty of disposable income.

The Defenders Vs. Abnegezar, Rath & Ghast and Neron

The Defenders seemed to spend as much time or more battling demons and supernatural threats as they did traditional super-villains.  It might be interesting to see how they would fare against the denizens of DC's underworld.

Spider-Woman, Tarantula and Fly Girl

Madame Web seems to have briefly brought the world together in that everyone who has seen it universally has declared it to be an awful movie.  Apparently the Spider-Women of the movie only appear in costume for a vision of the future late in the film that only last a couple of minutes and the rest of the run time is filled with disjointed scenes and laughable dialogue.  Maybe Sony Picture would have been better served by featuring a trio of bug-based heroes like the ones on the cover above?

Spider-Man Vs. Poison Ivy

Spidey has had experience fighting a villain that controls sand, but what about all plant life?  At least he has the full face mask to prevent her from giving him one of her hypno-kisses!  It would be a fun battle to see.

Darth Vader Vs. General Zod

We saw Anakin Skywalker's mother in The Phantom Menace, but they never identified who his father was.  Perhaps his mom didn't tell him because she didn't want him to know of his Kryptonian parentage.  It would help explain his mean streak and now we know why he has such an issue with Superman, as seen in STF #1171 and STF #3134...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Fastback

Turtles may have a reputation for being slow, but I would say that all that are pictured here buck that trend.  Between the super speed, martial arts action and a kaiju menace, there would be more than enough fast paced excitement in this issue.

Black Panther and The Black Racer

It's time for another all-Kirby classic.  Jack Kirby was great at presenting big action, big personalities, big machines, big concepts and big stakes - so a mystery involving the king of an advanced society and an emissary of death from New Genesis would be right in his wheelhouse.

Swamp Thing Vs. Modok

Swamp Thing is not stranger to dealing with misshapen monstrosities, so I don't think that the sight of M.O.D.O.K. would give him much pause.   Still, if this crazed scientist had unlimited resources, he might give the Earth Elemental a run for his money.

Plastic Man and The Mask

Putting these personalities and powers sets side by side would make for a visually interesting and humorous story. This is another cover in which I had to do some character removal before I could do any character addition.  Here's a look behind the scenes:

Hourman and Colossus

For the second part of this two-part tale, we see that Professor X' treatment for Doctor Fate did indeed have some unexpected consequences.  Those of you that made the Dr. Strangefate connection were on to something. But hey, if it can lead to cool things like Hourman participating in a fast ball special, can the change be all that bad?

Doctor Fate and Professor X

Presenting Part One of a Two-Part Epic!  I wonder if Charles Xavier ever shared his hover-chair technology with the general public.  It would certainly be a nice alternative to standard wheelchairs, after all.  Or maybe he couldn't because it requires telepathic abilities to operate?  Anyway,  make sure you come back tomorrow for Part Two!

Supergirl and Kitty Pryde

Milly Alcock has been cast as the cinematic Supergirl for the DCU. I have only seen her in House of the Dragon, and she was very good on that show.  I'm not sure that I see her as Supergirl, but it's tough to judge by such a different role. She is at least age appropriate.  I certainly like the casting a lot more than the just announced Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, what are they thinking there?

Justice Society of America and The Silver Surfer

James Gunn has stated that his new DCU will begin with a world already populated by super-heroes.  I'm hoping that provides an opening for a proper JSA that is set during WWII, with some members being sent forward in time eventually.  Even if they don't want to commit to a movie, the JSA would be a great candidate for an animated show.

Sgt. Fury & His Howling Commandos and G.I. Robot

I am very curious to see how G.I. Robot will be handled on the Creature Commandos animated show. As a basically non-verbal character, it might be a challenge to give him any kind of personality.  Still, James Gunn is writing the whole series, and he did a great job with Groot, so I am optimistic.

Ace the Bat-Hound and Spider-Ham

I had to come up with a worthy adversary for these two, and then it hit me.  Who better than that dastardly thief and master of disguises, Feathers McGraw?  He almost got the best of Wallace and Gromit , after all!

Martian Manhunter and The Avengers

This all-Kirby classic required some prep work before I could add in J'onn J'onzz.  Here's a look at the behind the scenes process:

Dick Tracy and Green Arrow & Speedy

Chester Gould wrote and drew the Dick Tracy strip from the 30's to the 70's, and I imagine that kept him busy.  Still, it's a shame we never really saw him cross over and do any work for other comic book companies. How cool would it have been to see his take on characters like Green Arrow, Batman or Spider-Man - not to mention their rogues galleries?

Lando Calrissian and The Phantom

The Phantom identity has been passed down through time, so who's to say just how far back it goes?  Maybe all the way to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Raven and The Son of Satan in: "The Parent Trap!"

These two previously appeared together in a two part tale that began in STF #3127, and concluded in STF #3128. This time around, they are taking the battle to their demonic Dads. Family friction in the fires of Hell equals 22 pages of  crackling comic book action!

Adam Strange and The Defenders

It was only a matter of time before Adam Strange joined The Defenders for an adventure.  After all, he is the brother of Stephen, The Master of Mystic Arts - in fact, this marks the seventh appearance of The Strange Brothers on the blog.

The Punisher Vs. The Partridge Family

It will be interesting to see Jon Bernthal return as The Punisher in the upcoming Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again series.  He was great in the role on the Netflix shows, but those were a lot more violent than anything I expect to see on this new family friendly service, even if it is in their "adult" section.  Let's hope he isn't watered down too much.
