Tron and The Vision

The original Tron is one of my favorite films of my youth.  Tron: Legacy had some interesting visuals, but was kind of a disappointment to me.  Now we are seeing trailers for Tron: Ares, and I'm not sure how the film will turn out.  I do like the idea of characters from the game world entering our reality, thought.  I hope this one does the property justice.

Batman and Tron

I can't wait to see Michael Keaton reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne for  the Flash movie.  I'm also happy to hear that he will be sticking around for more appearance in the role in future films.  It does seem strange that he will be in Batgirl, as that movie will feature J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon - so wouldn't that mean Ben Affleck should be the Batman of that tale?  I guess The Flash really is going to mess with continuity.  If I was in charge, I'd have Keaton back on his own, heading up a Batman Beyond film.  Warner Bros never seems to consult me, though.

Supergirl and TRON

When I watch older movies with a computer programming or video game element to them like War Games, The Net, The Wizard, or even Superman III, they look very dated.  It's a testament to the writing and art design of TRON to see how well that movie holds up over 35 years later.  I still love the special effects used on the Game Grid.  TRON absolutely amazed me as a kid, and I still like to revisit it every few years.
