Godzilla Vs. The Tick

I'm looking forward to Godzilla Vs. Kong when it is released later this month.  Godzilla: King of the Monsters got a lot of flack, but I quite enjoyed it.  Sure, the human characters could have been written a lot better, but those monster battles were awesome!  So I am going into this next film with the same attitude with which I watched that one - laugh at the humans and marvel at the behemoths! If I get enough spectacle it won't have to be Citizen Kane.

Godzilla's ok. Putting him against Gorgon was the request. Tick is F-I-N- E

Hey, Ross. I noticed in STF#963, you used Frankenstein, Jr. But I haven't seen anywhere where you've ever used the other half of that show, The Impossibles. Some of my fave characters of all time: Coil-Man, Fluid-Man, and (the best) Multi-Man. Maybe team them up against Archie Comics' The Mighty Crusaders?

Coincidentally, I just started watching The Tick on Amazon over the weekend. I'd been given the impression that the show featured the goofy superhero in an otherwise normal superhero world*, but that is very much not the case -- it's comedy all the way, and Ms. Lint is one of the more fun characters I've seen in the franchise (though nobody can ever beat American Maid or the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight!). The tone is about halfway between Patrick Warburton's earlier series and the animated version with the voice of Townsend Coleman -- which should be no surprise, with Patrick as a producer, Bill Edlund himself doing much of the writing and executive producing, and even Townsend voicing the dog Midnight. (That's not even mentioning the involvement of Alan Tudyk and Liz Vassey.) I thank God that streaming services exist, or I might have missed out on this show (which would be an absolute treasure if not for the excessively strong language).

As for Godzilla, I haven't gotten to look at the current incarnation of the Big G other than in trailers, but I do hope to. My best friend was a huge Godzilla fan, her favorite version being the much-maligned movie with Matthew Broderick, and I'd kind of like to watch this one with an eye for how she would've enjoyed it.

@Reg & Ross: At first my blurry morning vision read "The Impossibles" as "The Incredibles," and it occurs to me that bringing those two teams together might be a bit of fun.

@emsley: Not as much as my ongoing wish to see Godzilla vs. the Inferior 5 (though Captain Klutz, Jar Jar Binks, or Felix the Cat could also serve in this position).

*Yes, I know that this phrase is an oxymoron, but it's the closest thing we have to what describes the idea. #WorkWithMeHere

PS: That sign saying "Behind you all the way"... yeah, I caught that. Well played.

Bob, The Incredibles are who The Impossibles met in the above mentioned SRF #1360

Godzilla's thinking Too bad I forgot my shoppers basket. I want 13 of these to go. Now do I use cocktail or tarter?

Technically, Mothra is the only true behe-moth.

Well, I got half my wish. What about Arthur (who always seem to dress like "Son of Mothra") and Godzooky vs. Fin Fang foom?

@Anon@3:31: As much as I want to tag that #BadPunNoCookie, that's actually pretty clever.

@Cary: Your point is actually a decent excuse for teaming Arthur and Mothra... perhaps as a follow-up to this cover?

Punny humans always in the way of stories of Giant: Robots, Monsters and Aliens with all their talky talky nonsense. I just want to see; Fights and explosions.

@Bob and Ross: have the Impossible ever met Impossible Man?

@Anonymous: I'd prefer them to meet Kim Possible. The premise being... "Is Big D Really Dr. Drakken's FATHER?!"
