Aquaman Vs. Sandman

Aquaman is a pretty tough guy but location is everything!  It would be interesting to see how he would get out of this fix.  I just finished the surprisingly entertaining Spider-Noir on Amazon Prime, and I enjoyed how The Sandman was realized on that show, pretty good for a TV budget.

I'm afraid I'll have to take your word for it. The only way I'll ever be able to afford any streaming service is if it's offered--quite literally--100% free!. As for the title? Nice alliteration. But, saguaro cactus only grow in the deserts of northern Mexico and southwestern U.S.

For Aquaman, no truer words have e'er been spoken: "Life's a beach, and then you die." ;)

as long as the green fruit juice is there, Arthur is going for it!!

Unless the cactus is a mirage!

I wonder if this is a result of Dr. Arthur Light teaming up with Edward "the Lightmaster" Lansky (as part of a Spidey/JLA team-up)?

Ah! Now this is a dire scenario Ross. In all his adventures, Aquaman always finds a way to get some water. Right?

Fortunately (for the generally very strong sea king) there are some "underground" aquifers that are pretty close to the surface of the Saharan Desert. If he mentally called out to one of the species that lives in those waters, he might be able to home in on one of the nearby aquifers before he succumbs to Sandman's gritty charms.

@Reg: That's pretty smart thinking! It's one thing about the Silver Age that I appreciated as a kid; you could get rollicking adventure, and learn a thing or two about the real world while you're at it.

@Ross: I think maybe it's time to put the Sinister Six up against the Wall, if you catch my drift.

With his luck, Aquaman would probably contact Shy Halood.

hey Ross, a quick question......
why has Buckaroo Banzai not appeared in your amazing blog of comic covers?????
he could team with so many other heroes here......

Because I barely remember that movie, only saw it once decades ago - and not a lot of useable BB images out there anyway.

That's a blessing in disguise, Ross. Believe me!

If any DCU normal could intimidate the S6, that would be Amanda Waller.

Hmm...what if Waller and Nick Fury (either version) were a couple?

Wasn't the film adapted into comics, maybe as a limited series?

Great cover and I'm in total agreement with you on Spider-Noir. It hooked me from the start and I ended up binge-watching all eight episodes. I was exhausted, but it was well worth it.

A forgettable Marvel Comic adaptation, yeah.

I'll wait for the trade paperback compilation.
