Spider-Man and Flash Gordon

What if Spider-Man had made his debut a few decades earlier?  Maybe we would have seen the wall-crawler appearing in some classic movie serials, like the one above. Ah, what could have been!

Excellent! :-)

Of course, being a movie serial of the 1930's, that would probably make this the noir version of Spidey. With his twin Colt M-1911's confiscated by Ming minions...and his trench coat and fedora confiscated by Princess Aura!

"Help me overthrow my father and you can rule worlds by my side! All you have to do is reject your redheaded companion."

This works brilliantly - and put me in mind of a Star Trek Voyager episode where the crew mixed with a Ming-like badguy in his black-and-white world?
Have you ever put black-and-white Flash with his technicolor descendant from the movies? Or the comics versions? That could a fun combination.

Since Mickey was on Star Wars radio then, he would have been used as Spidy!!

What universe is this?

Mickey Rooney as Spidey? I would've expected someone more lithe, like Donald O'Connor or Ray Bolger. But yeah, I can accept Mickey in the role.

Maybe someday we can see the 2007 remake featuring Tobey Maguire an Eric Johnson.

“The Bride of Chaotica”.

Unrelated suggestion: How about the Golden Age heroic Catman coming out of retirement to face his villainous Silver Age [onwards] namesake, to reclaim & redeem the name?
