Dick Tracy and Iron Fist

An odd couple to b sure, but it would be fun to see the city's top cop working alongside the martial arts master of K'un L'un...

Wait until Tracy finds out that Danny Rand's previous partner was an ex-con! ;)

@Anon545: "Ex" as in duly exonerated in a court of law. (IRON FIST & POWER MAN v. 1/#50, 1981).

@Ross: yes, it would. Although, not so much fun for the blondes if their fur coats are made from endangered species. The one sans chapeau looks to be wearing one made from giant panda!

Tracy's seems to be coming up in. the world... more books, coverage, highlighting the movie's breathless Mahoney toys, who knows..more team ups?

Just what I was thinking, Tobor. Didn't we just have Tracy the other day? His appearances are never this close together!

What can I say, I like using Dick Tracy.

Maybe someday we might even see Tracy teaming up with the ever-eager-to-"help" Ambush Bug.

@BenW: plus, it was actually over three weeks ago.

Ambush Bug?! For the love of Sam Hill, how come Tracy's never teamed up with the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing?

Carycomic said...

@Anon907: you mean, not even during "The Lost Issue" days of MTIO?

Anonymous said...

Nope! Of The Thing's three hundred-plus appearances, Dick Tracy is 0-for-47 of them. :-(

Hey can you do Terry and the Pirates and Indiana Jones?

Carycomic said...

I'd be in favor of it. Indiana Jones has been depicted in both Marvel and Dark Horse comic books. But, for a war-time adventure alongside Terry and the Pirates, I'd opt for the Marvel version being used. With the plot device for the hypothetical adventure being...the Golden Bull of China!

I mean, let's face it. Just because that thing debuted in 1967 (THOR v.1/#147) doesn't mean it was sculpted just ten years earlier. Even with a sliding time-scale modifying its chronological age!

I'd rather see a Cold War-era adventure between Indy and Steve Canyon.

Carycomic said...

Nah! Save him for an adventure alongside the Golden Age Blackhawks!

Steve Canyon, that is. Indy's already done a guest-stint with the Blackhawks here on Earth-STF.
