Daredevil & The Black Widow and The Spectre

I saw a chance to do a Gene Colan inspired cover and I went for it.  Colan is one of those artists that I did not appreciate as a kid, but now I recognize as one of the best and most unique in the art form.

Daredevil first met The Spectre in STF #3067...

"Unique" = "one of a kind." So someone who is literally unique would/could not be 'most' or 'least' compared to anyone else.

But, I will totally agree that the samples of Mr. Colan's art work you've consolidated, here, are truly awesome. Makes me wonder if the Spectre is going after that murderous time-traveling android, Mr. Kline.

I also failed to appreciate Gene Colan as a kid, but love to look back on his work now. I just read that Sal Buscema passed away a few days ago. I don't normally make requests, but any chance of an all Sal cover in his memory?

Actually, based on this cover, I'd compare Mr. Colan's work -- favorably -- to that of Jack Kirby.

I'll be doing a TBT tribute to Sal Buscema tomorrow on my X and FB feeds.

be interesting to see how Widow intereacts with Spectre given her past life.
and Spidy has only teamed with him once?

Wouldn't want to be whoever these three are after. Too bad it isn't someone who really needs a permanent put-down like the Joker. Just imagine Batman trying to save him once again from *that!*

What do you wanna bet they're going after the Batman Who Laughs?
