Blue Beetle & Booster Gold and Power Man & Iron Fist

These are two of my favorite buddy teams in all of comics, so it is long overdue that I have them meet up on the blog.  While one team is literally all about business, the other likes to have a little fun while they are crime fighting, which might make for a fun dynamic.

This would be a really fun team-up.

It's like a spaghetti western! The Blue, the Gold, the Power, and the Fist. All together for the first time.

Sergio Leone would be proud, Ross. :-)

Now THIS is a team-up that was LONG overdue!

Nice work, Ross!

I've been reading The old 70s Defenders comics, and it's given me lots of ideas for covers here. Here's some of my ideas:

The Defenders and Doom Patrol: I know this cover already exists, but I need to see the Brotherhood of Evil meet The Headmen. I feel like The Brain and Mallah would hate Arthur Nagan, so we might see the two evil teams fight each other as well as the heroes.

But I had other ideas too. Let's see...

Blue Beetle and Nighthawk: I insist this has to happen. Ted Kord and Kyle Richmond feel like natural complements to each other. They have to team up.

The Hulk vs Eclipso: Two Jekyll and Hyde style characters dueling it out. According to Wikipedia, Eclipso shared a body with a doctor named Bruce Gordon or something. So Bruce Banner and Bruce Gordon meeting, only for their alter egos to duel? There's potential there.

Silver Surfer and Martian Manhunter: Both aliens with tragic backstories (plus both being characters I love), I would find a team-up between these two amazing.

A delightful pairing of pairs! Let's make it a recurring thing, OK?

I wouldn't mind seeing more of that robot, either.

On a related note, blue & gold happen to be the state colors of Oregon (my home state). I'd love to see that utilized in some way using Beetle & Booster, but I'm at a loss as to how that could be done. (A run-in with Bigfoot? Tracking Mystique to Rose City Comic Con? Bantering with old Indiana Jones about an artifact on display at OMSI?)

Consolidate the first and third suggestions, Bob! I mean, they nicely dove-tail with that semi-canonical fanfic where Indiana Jones met a shipwrecked Chewbacca in the Pacific Northwest.

non topic- Could Animal Man use the powers of Lockjaw?

PM & IF were the bait & switch pair to let the B boys develop and apply the means to stop the clockwork man of destruction. Maybe give it a glass of milk with cocoa marsh?
Could you give it a sugar rush? Gum up the innerds.

@Bob Well, Oregon is also the state in which the town of Gravity Falls is located, that can lead to a ton of ideas.

@Ross Nice one, I love that robot! Maybe next, the Heroes for Hire could team-up with the World's Finest?

@Det. Tobor: I don't see why not?

P.S. @ Tobor: maybe using one of those cotton candy clouds from the video game of the same name. ;-)

"S-U-G-A-R! Jump into your racing car
For 'Sugar Rush.' For 'Sugar Rush'!"

You know, I could be mistaken. But, that robot looks to have the same grin that the Joker (from STF #4456) managed to plant on the kisser of that Sentinel (@ STF #4301).

@Ben: Good thought! The town of Eureka is also in Oregon.

And "Eureka" is the Archimedean phrase usually associated with the discovery of gold. With or without a booster! ;-D

& Cary + Anon, don't overlook that fun tv series of Eureka from 2012.

Oh, I just got a wonderfully crazy idea.

Sheriff Carter has to protect Eureka from an invasion of videogame characters out of "Fix-it Felix" after some prodigy at the local elementary school fiddles around with the Tron portion of KINGDOM HEARTS!

Tobor; you're a genius.

@ Anon816: poor Ross is more likely to wind up in Arkham Asylum trying to find enough image captures for that request! But, I'm willing to compromise on Ralph Hinkley becoming the newest school teacher in Eureka. There should be enough photo-captures of Colin Ferguson and William Katt to work with.

@Tobor: That's what I was referring to. (The real-world town of Eureka is in California.)
