Continued from yesterday's cover, we finally see where the Dark Knight has disappeared to.
Batman and The Thing are my favorite characters from from DC and Marvel, and they have met before in other Lost Issues - They quarreled over Aunt Petunia in STF #3322... They had a boxing match in STF #2455... They faced a fiery situation in STF #554... They topped off an Anniversary Issue in STF #500... before that, They battled the Riddler/Trapster team... earlier, The Thing discovered the Bat Cave... and was handed control of The Outsiders... not to mention This Whole Blog... and finally, they first appeared together in one of my earliest covers...

*Respectively?
As someone who grew up reading Marvel Two-In-One and The Brave and the Bold (during its Batman team-up phase), I always get a particular kick out of seeing these two together here. One of my personal "comics that never were but should have been" fantasies is a crossover between those two series.
@Alaric: as in, "THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD AND THE GRIMM"?
@Ross: am I going batty? Or is that Batman'66 near the top right corner?
Acroyear, too? Excellent! :-D
I loved the original Marvel run of "Micronauts." Suitably kick-butt escapism, for the time. Makes me hope to someday see a group called "The Super Visors" (consisting of Cyclops, Megaton Man, Dr. Solar, and the Golden Age Comet).
Of all the Thing/Batman team-ups here, my favorite is still, and probably will always be, when Ben was given leadership of the Outsiders.
Even so, they're such a mainstay of this blog that it may be about time for a photo cover with Michael Chiklis and Christian Bale.
Have to admit, i love the old Annual #3 with the Grimm Guardian coming out of the capsule from the rift. Early Ben with early Bruce? Priceless.
No Ray or Henry?
@Carycomic There was a time in the '60s when the Detective Comics logo featured that exact image. I assume that's where Ross got it from.
Alric assumes correctly.
No, not the corporate logo. The actual falling figure of Batman! It looks just like the artistic rendering of the Adam West Batman that was done for the golden anniversary comic book tie-in back in 2016.

@Carycomic: yeah, that's definitely Batman'66 diagonally above Ben Grimm.
