Doom Patrol and The Defenders in: "It's All in the Timing!"

I definitely think that these two teams go well together.  The Doom Patrol and The Defenders previously met in STF #3588.  The Patrol has also separately run into the Hulk in STF #2976 and Namor in STF #4344.

I love the original Doom Patrol - and I really liked the original cover. And you've slipped the Defenders - and dear old Kang - very smoothly into it. Great!
But I really do fear for the Defenders and the Doom Patrollers this time. The always combative Kang must be incensed with rage after being humiliated by being removed as the upcoming MCU Big Bad... He's looking for payback!!!

This is more fitting than you know, Ross. The Silver Age Doom Patrol's very first antagonist was the self-styled Gen. Immortus. And, as we all know, that's Kang's ultimate avatar!

The Doom Patrol ...the first group to be self cloned by the Chief?...And he could tweak their DNA as he experiments with Prof X's help!!

He already knows that, Anon. Check out the link to STF #3588!

I agree, Ross; these two groups do seem to go together naturally for some undefined reason. I could even imagine some unlikely friendships forming, like Stephen and Cliff.

But I still would like to see "Fezzik's Angels," with Rita teaming up with Cassie Lang/Stature and Susan Murphy/Ginormica (Monsters vs. Aliens).

(As inspired by the immortal line, "Sleep well and dream of large women.")

DC's version of the X-Men, and I loved them!! I actually have an affinity for the mid '80s 2nd incarnation New Doom Patrol before the Alan Moore's bonkers post-expressionist abstract 3rd incarnation for Vertigo! Ha ha
