Sam Wilson's newest cinematic outing seems to only be getting middling reviews, and the box office seems to be following suit. It looks like I can wait a few months for the Disney+ debut to watch it. Have any of you seen it, and what is your opinion? Should I catch Captain America: Brave New World on the big screen?

Atom standing on Falcon's shoulder is well done. He is supposed to be 6 inches in height and sometimes his size seems wrong.
You reminded me Captain America II was out and I wanted to see it on big screen. Matinees now are gone in morning and afternoon matinees are $12+ even with senior discount so I will try discount Phoenix theater which should have a friendly crowd for this movie.
I saw it this past Saturday afternoon on its Opening Weekend. It wasn't bad! Harrison Ford does a pretty credible turn as "Thunderbolt" Ross. There's a great (and, imo, long-overdue) connection to the Edward Norton version of the Hulk via Liv Tyler. It even references the less-than-stellar Eternals flick! The only downside is Marvel Films' assumption that everyone was able to stream the Falcon & Winter Soldier series. When I first heard the name "Joaquin Torres," my first thought was "Did Marvel rip-off NCIS?"!
Joaquin Torres was not created for Falcon & Winter Soldier series. He was April 2018 (V2, #5) of Falcon comic.
Whenever I go see Marvel movie I always look at list of characters for characters I do not remember seeing before since MCU tends to reuse them sometimes butchering them such I might not recognize them in movies and so far I have never seen one in movie twice.
Oh and part of the reason movie is rated poorly is reflected in comments of raters with terms such as "Woke" despite Falcon being around since June 1969 and Captain America since October 2014.
I had intended to see the film last Thursday, but the weather here in Corvallis closed many businesses, including the nearby AMC. I'm planning to give it another shot today or tomorrow.
As for this cover, I think it has potential for being a direct follow-up to yesterday's with Steve and Dr. Fate.
I was a fan of Brave New World. I feel like they did a good job with the characters, and I'm always happy to see Isaiah Bradley show up. It wasn't a groundbreaking movie, but not every movie has to be, you know? It was entertaining and people didn't generally carry the idiot ball.
I just got back from seeing the movie. Like Anon@6:04 says, it's not a groundbreaker, but it's probably more "American" than "Winter Soldier" or "Civil War." I found it to be exciting, with just the right amounts of paranoia and hope, and with lots of heart. I don't know what the "middling" reviewers were expecting from the movie, but I paid $10 to have a fun evening and see the MCU's meta-plot move forward; it delivered, and I got my money's worth.
Atom-Ray and Falcon look very doable as a team. This Access STF Earth has a great deal always going on. Anymore poker nights with all the new crews?? How many eggs does Ben Grimm eat a day? So much for Reed's budget.
@Bob Greenwade: you mean that Dark Horse anti-hero who was like equal parts USAgent, Mysterio, and Lee Falk's Phantom?
"That's a big 10-4, good buddy." :-)
Ah! That explains it.
I haven't bought a Marvel comic since 2017!
Anon, I literally have no idea what you're talking about.
There was an eight-issue limited series from Dark Horse Comics, back in 1987, where terrorism was fought by a seemingly indestructible U.S. government super-patriot known simply as "The American." He'd been around since WWII. And every time he seemed to die in the line of duty, he almost miraculously came back to life, moments later.
It was all a fraud. Using a combination of high-tech special effects and a small army of next-generation replacements surgically altered to resemble each other! When Uncle Sam went too far by murdering an innocent photojournalist, who had caught the latest posthumous swap on film, the newest American decided to help her boyfriend (investigative reporter Dennis Hough) bring down the whole corrupt house of cards.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
