Lois Lane and Iron Man

Lois does have a thing for billionaires after all.  I recently rewatched the great three-part World's Finest episodes of Superman: The Animated Series and got a kick out of her and Bruce Wayne hooking up. Better start crushing some coal into diamonds, Superman!

Could Lois replace Pepper? Would Tony "enjoy" Lois calling him on her signal watch that he will need to give her?? Lois just loves a 'hero' sandwich!!

To be fair, I always thought that she had developed partial feelings for Bruce Wayne, in that animated story arc, because of his adventurous playboy persona. After all, it was a matter of public record that he had lost his parents in a mugging gone wrong when he was a little boy. So, publicly, that made him live-for-the moment as a full-grown adult! Which, in turn, moderately aroused her maternal instincts.

Then, they found about each other's fathers. Thomas Wayne had been a well-renowned doctor and philanthropist in Gotham City. Samuel Lane had been a highly respected medical officer in the USAF even working in the aerospace program). Giving them something they could emotionally bond over! The rest was simply nature taking its course.

With today's implied story, though? Back in the Early Silver Age, such cover art would simply have been the illustrative version of click-bait. Within the actual story, Lois would turn out to be investigating some kind of big story involving Stark Industries. Like, for instance, a rumored merger between them and Lexcorp? And what better way to get at the truth than by dating Stark's mysterious armored bodyguard?

Hence, she was only pretending to be a flighty, shallow, social-climbing gold-digger.

For a second, I thought she was holding up an engagement ring with a kryptonite-centerpiece!* Can you imagine Iron Man's word balloon?

"It's to prevent any sexual harassment by him in case he tries to dissuade you!"

Could Tony, back when he had a secret identity, handle Lois constantly trying to unmask him to see if he's handsome?

DC published an 'imaginary story' (early 1960s) in which Lois did marry Bruce Wayne.

Could Tony develop a different kind of drinking problem? The same kind of drinking problem that affected Ted Stryker from Airplane?

To unmask him, in this case, she'd literally need a can-opener! One made from the same polarized alloy, at that.

New team idea:

Aquaman!
The Winter Soldier!
Luke Skywalker!
Lightning Lad!
Thor!
Edward Elric!

The Handy Men!

That's a pretty good idea. Very clever and creative.

I really gotta hand it to you.

Based on the mask design this is before Tony started taking his relationships seriously. I will never forget the issue of Avengers (back when Iron Man's identity was secret and the Avengers charter was setup so you did not have to reveal your identity) and he started dating Wasp while Hank was in jail. Captain America, since he and Tony were friends, warned Tony he would break her heart if he did not reveal his identity to her. He did and still ended up breaking her heart. After that Tony was a little more careful when it came to relationships.

Given his bout with alcoholism, he should've been _a lot_ more careful.

How about Terra-Man versus...Angel & The Batman?

Anyone else remember a 1960s Harvey Comics character called Spyman? "The Man with the Electro-Robot Hand?"

No? Look him up.
